Hello! I’m new to fishbowl and wanted to make my first post. I’m currently in the process of transitioning out of the Air Force and looking for a skillbridge opportunity in project management, preferably located in Tampa, Florida. A few companies I have on my list are Accenture, Raytheon Technologies Corporation and JPMorgan Chase What are everyone’s thoughts on those companies and how military friendly they really are?

Depends on your story. It’s not about checkboxes. It’s about how your experience weaves together to make you a whole, personable member of the school’s community who can contribute to the program. If you’re questioning whether you want to have this experience, then doesn’t sound promising.
So D1 you never say the costs and benefits of something before making a big decision... I absolutely think international experience is something I want to do and I think it will give me personally satisfaction / growth.. But as I mentioned it will be about a 50% paycut. It will also effect things like retirement savings, taxes, etc. So before I make a decision I figured it would be good to know if there are other benefits
No it won’t help- they don’t look for international experience from US applicants. They already have plenty of foreign applicants who will provide that. Better to focus on doing a really great job here.
What if by international experience it means you have worked in almost 100 countries around the world? Do you think that would be considered a little different?
I believe it helps a lot. It’s a clear differentiator, just make sure you highlight it in your story (how it helped you grow/develop as a person). Had similar stats from a lesser known school and my international experience came up in nearly every interview I’ve had.. ended up getting multiple offers with generous scholarships
I have an opportunity to move to an international office. Trying to decide if the pay cut would be worth it. I don’t want to hurt my mba savings if it won’t actually help my chances
