How much does it hurt you if your answers weren’t concise in case interviews?

It can hurt. When interviewers get long wordy answers 2 things happen. 1) your main message gets lost because of your babbling because your interviewer is probably spacing out; 2) sometimes it appears like you are talking and talking in hopes that you stumble upon the phrase to crack the case

Have any of you had trouble getting interviews at startups due to them wanting more startup experience? I've worked on many greenfield projects for clients and more mature projects, so I'm not sure why I wouldn't be a good candidate. The funny thing is when you look at the bios for some of these founders and see just how inexperienced many of them are. One's bio was basically the list of clubs he belonged to in college.

Made it to the final interview at a pretty good company for UX Design. Was super excited for it, but didn't make the cut. What do you all do to recover from rejection? Any tips? (Do you prevent yourself from getting attached in the first place?) Also, how do I identify my shortcoming in the interview process so I know what I can improve on them for the next?

I’m an immigrant with H1B. Been wanting to get out of my firm so badly but every time I apply outside, I start getting dragged into work at my current firm.I was going through some pretty rigorous interviews (I failed them) and have been in a slump since. Meanwhile my current firm keeps dumping work on me and I can’t find the time to apply outside. Anyone been through something similar? I’m losing hope. The politics is also so toxic, they started screwing me over since my last performance review.
