How much guidance did you receive when you first started a new job? I feel like I’ve had to figure things out mostly on my own and wondering if that’s normal

Next to none when I started at EY. Now in industry and people actually spend time to explain and teach me company specifics.

Normal but not great. If you can become friendly with a senior or 2 who is open to advising you and giving you tips on administrative stuff or how to approach certain tasks, especially before busy season, I recommend doing so

I have an associate full-time offer from a Big4 & an Analyst offer from a decent consulting firm. The pay is in the 60 range for big4 and 70s for consulting firm.
What would you do? I'm not sure what the consulting job will be like but I wouldn't need a masters degree which is great. I am also an analytics minor which is useful.

Taking a new role in industry after 2 years in public. It’s about a 70% increase from current salary and between 25-30% increase from expected salary after promotion to Senior (find out later today what my new figure would have been). It’s a remote position making solid money and interesting work/field. Just worried I’m leaving public too soon. Raises will be 2-4% in new role until promotion so I will catch up in public about 3-4 years from now. Thoughts?
