What if I told you you could avoid pregnancy with a 100% efficacy rate…for FREE
You’re really owning the libs now!
35 and $0.
Not on birth control since high school- pays to be in consulting no time for relationships/sex. That and men usually buy the condoms…
Under some health insurance, only generic brands of birth control pills are covered. But as some women know, some brand birth control pills are formulated very differently from the supposed generic alternative. Lo loestrin fe is a great example - the supposedly generic version of this is literally an entirely different pill. And no, it is not so easy or desirable to switch as many women also know.
~$100/mo, 12 months per year, over 10-15 years of adulthood easily gets someone to 15k. But I’ll let the OP respond.
I did have a poor health insurance plan through a prior job and needed the $85/ month packs for awhile. I broke down in tears when it randomly went up to $250/month and tried to budget that for months with no luck. Had to go to multiple dr appointments and test out multiple packs to get something that didn’t send my body for a spin. I eventually found packs that were $30-50/month that worked. Those became ineffective for cramps, so I moved to IUD, which was another larger expense. It all adds up over time. Grateful to be at a company with good health insurance, now, but many people aren’t as fortunate and are still dealing with my past reality

Are you buying gold lined condoms
If only that would be enticing for guys. No, expensive pills bc of poor health benefits at a prior company, dr visits, IUDs …it all adds up. Not everyone works at Deloitte and gets great benefits. Not everyone gets good benefits throughout their entire adulthood
Are you buying solid gold condoms?

Unfortunately the right will say to just not have sex.
Curious what the breakdown of that $15k is. Personally it’s been <$50. I got the copper IUD put in and taken out. Each time my co-pay was $10-15 or something like that. If I get it put in again it’ll be $15 again.
15k? My girlfriend was on government healthcare and it was $40 a year.
IUD, dr visits, condoms, birth control on poor company plans ($250/mo for some x per month), tests…turns out PxQ is expensive. Also, for those in foreign countries, US charges a ton for medical practices (ex. An ambulance ride cost me $2.5k for 15 min)
I have been using Natural Cycles for last 6-7 years. Requires some discipline, basal temperature monitoring, but no accidents yet. https://www.naturalcycles.com/
Plus, I live in a country with universal healthcare, so 0$.
This would never work for someone like me who has irregular cycles. Also, discipline means time, which is money; didn’t even factor in the soft costs
Are we ignoring use of the term “hard costs” here? Ok, got it, leaving that one alone.

No, you did not! 😆😆😆

My IUD was free when it was put in… Oddly though they charged me a few hundred dollars to have it removed 🤷♀️
Yeah, they charge for the removal, but insertion is free under ACA.

There is a large non-zero number of murders committed by boyfriends and husbands who don’t want their girlfriend/wife to be pregnant. That statistic is about to explode
Homicide is actually the #1 cause of death for pregnant women.
$0 but I’m fat and ugly

This is the premium plan of spermicide
0$ Australia F yeah :)
About $14k over the course of 6 years
The fact that women have a 3 day window of viable pregnancy the crazy lengths to avoid it are laughable.
