Sometimes it ranges from 5-25%. Recently my colleague received 5% for promotion

I have received 51% hike while promotion as many of the team members were resigning and they were trying to keep talents. So it depends.

I am fully aware that this is the consulting exit group and I would like to get your input on my career plans:

As some of my colleagues I would like to eventually make the move to a strategy consulting company.

Since it is usually the other way around: on which level would it make sense to "get in" and why?

Is it even senseful after more than a decade working for a tech company? (And don't get me wrong: I love working for SAP.)

Otherwise, I might alter my plans.
