How much is an average manager salary in NYC in consulting?

I’m a tax senior 1 (will be a senior 2 in October) and just got an offer with a 26% raise at a large public company on their provision team. There’s also an aspect of FP&A and helping with transactions so not strictly tax. All seems super interesting and the team seems great. I really like my EY team and my counselor has talked to me about an early manager promo next year but have never intended to be a PA lifer. Any reason I shouldn’t take it?

Need suggestions, I currently have a offer at B4 in Tax but I also have 3 interviews coming up for TAS & M&A positions (2 mid tier & one B4). The Tax offer needs a decision really soon and I don’t know what to do. I am currently in Tax but dislike my current firm(mid tier). I keep reading how tax pigeonholes you and advisory is everyone’s dream. What would you do? Are there and factors I should be considering that I am not? (Fyi Salaries are within 15k of each other).

Is it silly to want to feel valued by my Partner/Practice Leader?

He rewards me well rating/comp-wise, gives me a lot of latitude etc but OTOH I constantly get blown off for check-ins, multiple emails ignored, excluded from some conversations that might be relevant for me, etc.

Maybe it’s just normal Partner behavior and I should grow a thicker skin, but generally feel emotionally disconnected from him and that my portfolio of work is not integral, or is an afterthought, to the practice.

I am starting a 4-months internship at a company B in January. However, I just heard from a company T that they will interview me for their full time position.

Company T is paying me way more (twice) than Company B. And I like company T more. However, they want me to start working in February if I get this position. If I end up getting the offer, I will have to quit my internship at Company B, almost immediately after I begin the internship.

Is this okay?

There budget was upto 10 when i asked but feels like they playing me for my desperation to start working.

And I am expecting an offer from a bigger company and the joining's in the month of Feb.

I got an offer for a 3-mo contingent role at Meta as a CSM that pays more than double what I make now.

The pay rate makes it hard (if not impossible) to say no - but I'm apprehensive about accepting a contract offer, especially one that's only 3-months  ending on Jan 2.

My dilemma… I am an injury adjuster at a carrier experiencing high inventory that’s barely manageable. A competitor offered a higher salary and manageable workload. BUT, I would like to get into underwriting. I applied for UW position w/ a different carrier and they’ve made an offer. But this is not sufficient  for a 5 year experience Data Engineer. So i resigned on 12 th june 2022. My current CTC is 9 lpa and i asked them 15lpa for retain. This is my First job. Joined in consulting sector. As projects are to be assigned, some of my colleagues have got projects already. On asking my manager about same, he said team is planning to assign me to project let's say Project A on chat. Whereas two out of those already assigned colleagues are present and both have been going for client meetings for this Project A (Headcount per project is 2). Is it expected that people who exit from MBB/Deloitte at post mba levels (PL/EM/M) take paycuts when going to industry? (non FAANG, PE). I'm In process at multiple internal consulting/strategy groups who say the paycut is part of the trade-off for less hours/no travel.

But as a female🐠, I can't discern whether this is just a negotiation tactic. Mentors have told me never take less pay.
