Looking for some advice on the following - I want to make a pivot back to client services, specifically advisory/consulting/transaction services. I have 4 years public accounting experience, and 3.5 years manager experience within the corporate controllership function, both technical and SEC reporting related (more technical than SEC). This makes no sense? If I had to work the same, Id want to be paid the same, or more.
Why should you be paid more for doing the same amount of work, but no longer having to do the mundane daily administrative exercise of justifying your existence 0.1 at a time precisely to each client's differently insane standards?
I don’t think the hours would stay the same if we no longer needed to bill.
I would take up to a 30% pay cut for that if you throw in 2 weeks of vacation time.
I mean, I went in house for a 15% paycut. And Im v. happy. All depends on the base you're taking a haircut off, no?
