How much knowledge is transferable from audit to FDD? What do I need to focus on in audit to excel in FDD?

I disagree with the above. I transferred from audit to FDD, I think accounting knowledge helps to set a good foundation in FDD. Then you will need to understand income statement better in FDD vs the more balance sheet focused audit.

I'm a Cloud Engineer w/ 8 YoE on a company sponsored visa in UK. Trying to switch jobs and so far after 125 applications for the last 3 months - only 3 interview calls which I didn't get. 46 not considered, 49 haven't replied or job listing expired. Awaiting response from 24 and 3 interviews scheduled.

Is this a bad time to switch or is it my profile or skillset? I updated my CV, did all I could to get shortlisted but isn't helping much.

Any tips? I'm losing my confidence day by day :(

Anyone else think the "Audit Experience" requirement for FDD roles is overblown?

From my experience talking and working alongside individuals in FDD is that the first year has a steep learning curve and while an Audit background is a nice to have the work you'll be doing is different from Audit.

I would think it would make more sense to bring in an associate sooner rather than wasting another year in Audit when they could already be learning the FDD role.
