How much longer do u think districts will require weekly testing for unvaccinated teachers?

I am confused over the issue of testing, whether the tests are reliable or not, at the minimum the school districts that do test are at least responding to a national/world health crisis. For those that do not, there is the possibility that the leaders are firmly in the camp to simply let nature do its work, whic is to "cull" the herd. But, I would argue that all the people who are inudating the hospitals infected, denying critical medical services to other non-covid patients, that they may consider hindsight, and wish someone would have tested, or even themselves been vaccinated. Those people laying in those beds do not look like they are having a good time. Asa far as my district is concerned, I am tired of the masks and the weekly testing, but I do it for both myself, but more the benefit of others...I live by this...find the love in yourself, to love others, as you wished to be loved...peace

For those of us that are still having to be tested, I hope that ends soon. It would be helpful if our national union leadership was not as politically left and biased as they come, but I do not see that changing soon. It is good to see the truth about the numbers and who is truly being impacted finally starting to be presented and questioned in the mainstream media. The vaccinations do not and are not stopping or slowing the spread/spikes. Time to end the mandatory experiment and get back to people wanting to do it for their own reasons similar to a flu shot. Who is they — many in my district are vaccinated that test positive — since vaccinated spread covid as readily as unvaccinated — what is the justification with not testing the vaccinated on regular basis??

In my school district, we are tested weekly regardless of vaxx status. 🤦‍♀️

Here we test vaccinated or not. It will continue as long as it's politically expedient.

Until the numbers drop to the point when they feel it is no longer necessary.

Why shouldn’t there be any unvaccinated teachers — the vaccine has proven that it doesn’t prevent transmission?

Not only do we not test, we were just told that as of tomorrow no individual contact tracing & then no quarantining! 👍🏼😊 Obviously if someone doesn’t feel well they are to stay home. Instead admin will let the whole class know, ask them to keep an eye on their health, and that’s it. One district nearby did the numbers last year, only .001% of those students quarantined actually came down with covid, however many of them failed and lost credit.

How about you ask your nurse at the school. You know, the one who is more knowledgeable about this pandemic and is an expert in their field. Not us.

It’s rather alarming when the person testing you tells u that most of the people she is testing are vaccinated —- I’d like to know the true statistics — unfortunately statistics lie

Our district does not do weekly testing of anyone. Less than 1/2 our staff is vaccinated and we are not seeing our numbers increase in our district. We do however still HIGHLY RECOMMEND that everyone mask up, wash their hands and use sanitizer. We do have a virtual option if it were to come to it, but so far all of our buildings have been able to stay open all 180 required days since returning in Aug of 2020! My own personal opinion is that we need to get away from the shaming each other vaccinated or not.

We never started doing that.

Our school district has never required testing. When vaccines were first made available to educators in our state our superintendent made it very clear that, while he was getting vaccinated and supported the idea, it was each teacher’s choice and the school district would not ask any questions.

My district does not require this. I am so thankful to live in Texas.

Unvaccinated should be tested daily.

There is nothing dangerous in those vaccines and the people who claim that it causes death are lying because they want to justify their evil and immoral choice not vaccinate. Get vaccinated and stop making excuses. Until then please don’t enter a school. If you cared about your students you would vaccinate
