I’m 29. $440K. About $300k is stocks. $100k cash. And remaining is 401K. All self made. I got lucky with my stocks from working at FANG before entering consulting. Now I’m saving hopefully at least $100K a year and more as I get more senior.
No worries man. You’re doing good now. Just keep smart, save, and invest

I’m 25, roughly $260K across cash/investments/retirement. Renting. Started in consulting out of undergrad in a HCOL city with no college debt and no crazy expenditures (2 smaller vacations a year, ate out 1x week). A lot of it “snowballed” in the past two years.
I’d imagine I’d be at around $500K in my late 20s if I stuck to this standard of living.
C3, yep, sounds right.
~100k
That’s where my thoughts are at personally

For reference, I’m at $155K net worth @ age 25, M, single, HCOL:
- $45K cash
- $55K in retirements / Robinhood
- $60K equity in rental prop
- No inheritance
@TC1 - Currently live with roommates in one of my rental units. Previously, also lived with roommates.
About ~3K to my name #YOLO
I appreciate the feel good post
300k
Highly doubt it OW1 lol who shares savings with coworkers.
But yeah M1 70K is reasonable with 200K salary, but at age 22-24 you don’t make 200K even at top consulting. You hit that around 25-26 typically
75K - 250K depending on student loans and salary
Yeah, such a wide range, but sounds right
1 mil. Just hit the number a few weeks back. All self made
Yeah have jumped around but worked at those types of firms. I started at 21 and got promo to associate fast and saved a lot more earlier in my career and rent and expenses were low. I honestly don’t put that much, maybe half. It’s all that compounding son.
Also hugely depends where you live. NYC = probably less savings generally
I feel that
Wow... I’m behind lol I have about $60k in DC
D3, this thread is about the typical late 20s management consultant, not the typical US citizen

32 here with ~$350k, most of which happened in the last few years.
If your married then NW can be more as house hold
I'm 26 and I have $20k. However I just started working a year ago.
I was basically the same
