Hello! Is anyone working at Spotify or HubSpot within product/project management that would be willing to connect for a virtual coffee chat?
I’m a recent grad and currently working in tech/product development. I have been interested in growing my career at either of these companies and would be grateful to gain insight on day-to-day and steps you took to successfully break in.
I know this might be a big ask here, but it’s been difficult trying to land one on LinkedIn. Thanks in advance

What in the world are your expenses where 7-10M (aka 280-$400k/year) is what you need to “just live”?

Lol how does $20k/m break out?

You wouldn’t need nearly that much if you don’t plan to leaving anything after you die.
With $1.8m, you could start drawing $100k a year adjusted for inflation for 60 years. Assume 8% annual return.

8% might be aggressive but even withdrawing 50k in cash instead of 100k would be more than sufficient for most people to live comfortably enough, especially if they won't be paying taxes on it and they're in a low COL area.

With $1M in investments I would still want to earn an income but I would radically downshift from what I’m doing now and open myself up to a broader range of lower paying options
Maybe $5M is where I’d think about not having to earn an income at all
No matter how much money you have in savings, you can’t stop working. You need monthly income from somewhere
C1, the statement made by the commentor Deloitte1. Its false. Others have already commented with simple explanations as well. I’m retiring in 5 years from now, I’ll have $1.5m, and I won’t need to work because I will live off my investments.
