$100k and 40 hours per week.
Already make enough money. Not content for so many other reasons.
Enough for me to buy things with no worry of price. By this I don't mean ridiculous things like Ferraris or 200 million $$ homes but a relaxing lifestyle comfortably funding 2/3 vacations a year.
Two thirds of a vacation or 2-3 vacations a year? Just kidding. Good answer.
350k consistently each year adjusted for inflation
It's not about how much you make but how much you keep. I want to save enough to eventually be financially independent. Not dependent on a company or firm's whims to keep profitability up by laying people off. I want to be independent enough where if I'm truly unhappy in a job, I can just quit. Take some time to travel, etc.
Enough to not worry about safe shelter, medical insurance and possible medical expenses of any level, education of my future children, food, and everyday necessities. And also to relax. I don't need a private jet or a super cool car or a big house with 10 bedrooms. Medical is big because a major illness can easily ruin someone's financial stability and independence.
Right now? I just need one $10k bonus to get rid of my debt and make my life significantly better.
$800k
Depends. As someone who is not married 100K, but if I were married, depends on if my future husband is working and if we have kids. Because kids are hella expensive.
My bad. I guess to me, comfortable and content are not dissimilar
250k after tax and 40h work week
I'm comfortable now with my salary. I won't be content until I'm partner.
350k
200k
I doubt it's that simple. Even with health insurance there are deductibles, out of pocket maximums, copayments, the premium itself etc. etc. Not to mention that your claim can be denied! Oh and also there's the premium you need to pay and it'll be damn hard without a job. Overall, a medical event can easily ruin your life when you think you are good and set.
It totally depends on your market. For me in the Midwest, I'm very comfortable with 90k. Do I want to buy more/make more? Of course, but that's not what comfortable means
The question was not comfortable. The question was content. Two different thingsz
Assuming no job, used to be 20ish for health insurance. The marketplace has lowered that. Everyone with a job is now paying for that. Just saying that medical is insane but less than it was IF you're purchasing your own insurance.
I just want to be able to buy a house, which isn't realistic in my region til $100k.
