Anyone successfully negotiate compensation at firm that officially doesn’t allow for origination credit? Have brought in small clients in the past but this one is a big one and huge for the group and the firm. I’m not exactly doing this out of the goodness of my heart so would appreciate any advice on how to navigate the conversation. For reference, client specifically brought their work to my group so that they could work with me and it’s a personal contact of mine.
I love my new client side job. But the west coast based team is not considerate of my time zone. I’ve been here four weeks with no improvement despite being vocal about it (within reason). My manager works non stop so I am sympathetic to that. But it often means I go days without seeing my young kids after school. Any suggestions?
What agencies in Canada have Sephora or any other beauty brands as a client? I know McCann has L’Oréal, but it’s mainly their French wing. Really want to pursue an opportunity to work on a beauty brand at some point. Thanks!
Looking to make a switch from paid search/social media activation to being a client success manager at one of the big tech players (Google, TikTok, pinterest, etc). Any tips for breaking into the big tech companies with my current skill set? I have about 3 years of experience from big and small media agencies.
Just picked up my first 1983 case and I’m looking for the Bible on litigating 1983 claims. I’m digging my way through case law now to get a general overview of the landscape, but I’m going to want to learn from the best and brightest on this. If it matters, claim will be in the 8th circuit and it relates to a client who caught a rubber bullet with their face. I know the unlawful assembly case law is against us, and it doesn’t appear an actual seizure occurred, so this is going to be tricky.
Hi. I have a question. In a world where COVID is under control, how would you feel if your companies went back to being fully in the office? But maybe others were adopting a hybrid model- some days remote, some days in the office. Would it make you want to work elsewhere? How important is being able to work remote (at a location of your choice, not at client /travelling) a few days a week to your job satisfaction?
When your client is understanding of your schedule, listens to your recommendations, and thanks you for your hard work.

I’m starting to lose sight of my overall goals and what’s the point of doing all this. Please help!

Today is my last day with KPMG. I would like to give a farewell email to one of my client. We have informed them about my last day. Since I got along with them really well, I wanted to give a farewell email. I am a manager btw if that helps. Is that allowed?
I’m nearing the end of my project and I’d like to express to my team managers and leads that a teammate should be put on PIP for continually disobeying project guidelines and not listening or following any of my instructions / suggestions. This person has made the project almost unbearable but the project is close to finish. I have real concerns though I might encounter them in other projects . What do I do?

TMW the client is observing President's Day and you're flying out to sit at your office in a different city 😒
Has anyone started traveling yet? Client’s city has not had an outbreak and I’m slated to travel soon. I’m fairly nervous and refuse to fly so looking at driving 5-6 hours. I also have a young kid and my husband works lengthy hours so I’m pretty apprehensive but don’t feel like I’m at liberty to decline travel.

Office 1 sponsored MBA for ~100k USD. Cannot go back to office 1. Spent 2 years (pay back period) at office 2. Office 1 wants me to pay back in full if I leave (as commitment was to go back to office 1 after MBA). I believe that to claim any amount they need to prove the damage I did to the company. Clearly the company (worldwide) did benefit from me being 2 years at office 2 (0.5-1m Rev). Can office 1 claim damage/ revenue loss if the company as a whole benefited? 1 and 2 are different countries

At what age/point is it a little concerning to have an “entry-level” type of job? I’m 26 and considering pivoting industries, and unfortunately I’ll only have the soft skills to transfer, and as a result I’ll be contending with 22/23 year olds for openings.

Currently articling at a firm & I have 10 days of vacation. Office is closed for a week (Xmas to new year). I’m taking off an additional 4 days in December but not consecutively. When putting in my request, I’ve had two partners tell me “That’s fine with me, but just so you know lawyers typically don’t take off 2 weeks” and the other tell me “okay, but I never took vacation for the first 4 years of my practice and be prepared to log on if we need you.” Has anyone else experienced this?
I took a new job in order to move across the country for my husband's promotion and I hate my new job. The role sold to me by the recruiter and company leadership is not at all what I am actually doing. I am so overworked it's unreal. At first I thought that maybe I just sucked, even though I'm a seasoned sales professional with 11 years experience, but then I found out that I have 227 accounts vs the 35 & 64 that my counterparts have. Do I go over my boss's head and discuss with leadership?
My client on a global town hall - “we will not ask anyone to go back to their local office”
