I have a question, fellow bowlaz! I work in a small advertising agency in Oslo, Norway, and we struggle to get in contact with international ad media such as Adweek (Ad Freak) and Ad Age whenever we want to show off our creative work. Does anyone of you have a way in, or tips on how we can get in contact with media outlets like these? Cheers

Hello Everyone! Does anyone have a connection at Netflix ! I am an author/marketing associate and truly my dream job is to work on the team that creates/produces Drive to Survive. I am a huge F1 fan! However, I am willing to start where I can and work my way there! I was laid off due to Covid and just trying to get back into the field and industry I love.

Usually, you’d want to be fully happy to leave before bringing it to your shop hoping for a pay bump.
That being said, why do you want to leave in the first place? Does it totally hinge on money? Or are there deeper reasons but you’re getting hung up on the money aspect?
From experience I can tell you: never change jobs just for more money! If you are happy, and making good work, that is more valuable than ANY amount of money. Of course, to be happy you should be fairly compensated. But that can be achieved where you are. You will always need the skill of asking for what you need from your current employer. Get good at that rather than jumping from place to place. BTW, avoid extortion; you don’t need to play the counter-offer game. It erodes trust.
I just passed on 30+%. I’m happy, making work I like, and have a clear path for growth.
It’s kinda crazy, I admit. But I like being happy, and think I’ll be better off financially in two years.
