I would expect no pay cut cause my skill set is unchanged regardless of where I work at.

I’m surprised you would have to get a pay cut. I got a pay increase, but I’m in an in demand field. It really depends on my living expenses, I recently took a pay cut to work 20% less and 20% less income.
OP, you’re right. Your new employer has no basis for comparison. They’re simply offering you their base price. Don’t consider this as a downgrade, consider it as a field change. You will rise back before you know.
I went back into the office for 100k ☠️
I don’t think where you work should be a determining factor on $, if the same quality of work is being completed
The work should be a lot easier and with no direct reports. From having 25 individuals reporting to me currently and wearing 10 different hats all the time to no reports and literally one job… I feel like it might be a breeze… at least after I learn the software

I think a $15k pay cut from that salary is all I would be willing to sacrifice unless there was a clause of reevaluating my salary in 6 months and there’s potential for growth rather quickly. You have to consider how much you have in monthly expenses and what discretional spending you’re willing to sacrifice.
That is my plan when I talk to the HM, I’ll ask for a reevaluation with a retroactive increase in salary if I’m on target in 6 months
You’d have to pay me more to use my home for the company’s benefit
10% max - but it really depends on what potential it is and also how long will you be taking the pay cut until your pay is returned back to you over time, 5? 10? Years.
With this company I will have to jump ship and then come back for a significant raise ☠️. But that raise would be substantial.
I need a remote job that pays, either as a virtual assistant or a survey worker.
10-15% for fully remote. go for it - you sound super excited about the company.
40% is too much. the only thing to weigh at that amount is if you are comparing a salary from an NY company to a midwestern one. That could factor in for them.
5-10%
I kept my salary when I went fully remote, promoted on target time and didn’t see a drop in that promo range either
Fully remote. Well north of 200K in a MCOL area. 40ish hours on average. Hunt the sitch you want.
