Just got an offer with Accenture. How does start date and timing of annual performance review impact promotion? Is it more advantageous to start at a certain month of the year?
What firm has the best workforce planning / analytics practices? I’m trying to think about where i want to go after promotion.
Principal telling me that I have all the capability to move forward to Manager but “just wants a few more practice reps” before official promotion consideration. What does this mean? Doesn’t it seem contradictory? This person I know has my best interests but they are confusing me with this.
I was making 99k at current employer and got an offer for 140k but no promotion with a competitor...should I take?
I had an offer letter and I asked for more money since I’m getting a promotion. Recruiter said not likely but he would ask. I feel like I goofed and am slightly freaking out. Can they rescind the offer? 😭
Does anyone have advice on how to increase your realization? I'm told I'm not ready for a promotion because my realization is a little too low. I'm not understanding some of the things I cont....
Asking for a friend in IBM : What could be the expected hike % on a promotion from Band 7A - Advisory Consultant to Band 7B - Senior Advisory Consultant? Work Ex total - 6.5+ years (Salesforce), will complete 2 years in IBM in April Thanks!
What’s raise percentage between 1st and 2nd year? What’s percentage between 2nd year and senior? Are all service lines the same?
Is it unreasonable to expect a raise at the end of the year knowing that I’ll be on maternity leave part of next year?
Is it a shitty move to leave the firm almost immediately before or after promotion goes into effect? The timeline I’m looking for new jobs means I may have an offer right around promotion time
When it comes to minorities getting paid less than their white counterparts (esp. men), do you think it’s more about minorities having difficulties standing up for themselves to make a case for getting a raise/promotion, the bias of their managers/leadership, or both? Asian male here who doesn’t like to toot my own horn or play politics but feel increasingly like it’s required to keep climbing in this industry.
As a woman, what are specific things that contribute to your engagement and retention at your firm - obviously pay, promotion, mat leave benefits.. other factors? “Soft” considerations? TIA!
Well, I just got my first pay statement with the new raise. It's about $100 more per paycheck. Someone please tell me that the money gets better someday. Staff 2 here.
How many years does it take to jump from junior to mid-level producer? What kind of raise can I expect?
Any 🐠 familiar with Wayfair GM track? Tried but didn't find anything relevant online. Any information would be helpful including comp, promotion track etc.
How do you ask for a raise when you don’t naturally have reviews? Feeling intimidated about approaching my boss even though I know I’m worth much more than my salary.
I’ve been offered a consulting position at Capco for more than I am getting now. Does anyone know if Capco give a fixed annual raise or is it only when you promote? Also what are their bonuses like?
EY People: anyone had luck booking hotels through their Starwood Ambassador versus Amex Travel? Would be so much easier to just email her the month's plans but I'm worried about the expense police.
Post partum I found myself feeling very...for lack of a better word- dumb. I was in a brain fog, missing details in my writing, struggling to maintain train of thought in depos. I thought it was exhaustion from newborn life, and pumping, etc. But I’m just over a year out and still feel this way. I want so desperately to get back to my pre-baby skill set. My question is (1) has anyone experienced this, (2) how long did it last, and (3) what if any steps did you take to mitigate this?
Stock market looking great. Unemployment numbers improving already with so many states still waiting to open. Hope we can rebuild our great economy and bring it back to pre-covid numbers soon🙏
Currently an MBA pursuing a consulting internship (MBB focused). I am also a reservist and my unit has a super UTA scheduled for July lasting four work days that I can’t miss. Am I toast?
Does anyone else get bothered when people Skype message you "hello" and wait for your response before getting to the point? Where do people pick up this bad habit?? These people need to be stopped.
Got laid off from D at end of 1st year. Got referred to another B4 and recruiter called me before I even applied for the opening. Same practice & level. How to explain story? Interview 1.5month after
Waited on hold for an hour with JetBlue to cancel a personal flight, just to get disconnected in the middle of the call. Now I’m back to waiting again😭😭
What would you expect are the exit opportunities for a first year senior manager in CMAAS/FAAS or similar practice?
Leaving an established smallish agency filled with people I love but that’s not moving fast enough for a VP creative role in a pre-IPO startup. Am I crazy?
My principal has told all teachers in my district that we must add him to our Google Classrooms as a co-teacher. Many teachers feel that this is inappropriate and implies that he doesn’t trust us. How would you all react to this?
So i have been fortunate that i have managed to go through my career without the need for a degree. I was lucky enough to have been hired by one of the worlds top consulting firms, worked with a whole lot of big clients and travelled a lot. It's gotten to the point where I am not even asked about the lack of a degree on my resume. Personally though, it bothers me. I have a whole bunch of certifications in my industry…but just no formal degree. (cont'd)
Would like to hear opinions on this scenario: County-owned Nursing Home & Rehab center (240 skilled, 40 rehab beds) being sold to a new buyer. The home has a contract w/ a food service company that would need renewed by the potential buyer if they choose. The employee in this scenario is a Clinical Nutrition Manager who works for this food service company. Their department is Clinical Nutrition, consisting of 2 employees including the Manager. Job security, maintaining similar pay up in the air.
I actually don’t know much about compensation increases that come with promotions. What does the typical % increase look like for an internal recruiter? Just trying to understand all of the things.
