I am planning to tell the admission that how HBS will help me bridge me to Hollywood on commercializing performing arts - I wanna be a superstar in Hollywood :) the huge difference between going to MFA program vs MBA is that me and MBA program are better fit for each other but I gain optimized power to transcend my career. Opinion?

Hello! I have a two part question: 1) is it worth it to obtain an SHRM specialty credential if I don’t have the broader SHRM certification? 2) has anyone gotten the People Analytics or Talent Acquistion credential? If so, how valuable was it from a learning perspective? Do you feel it significantly contributed to your knowledge in either area? Thank you!
I’m 1.5 post MBA and working in Monitor Deloitte. Looking to relocate and lateral to MBB Toronto/Montreal office (from US). Any past MD folks who have made the transition?
With two years of consulting experience, I’m scared of looking for jobs. You may laugh at my imposter syndrome, but I developed an interview phobia. The last time I studied for case interviews was in the final semester of my MBA a bit over two years ago. After I’ve failed many interviews (cases), I got into my current job by cracking difficult cases. Now, busy with ongoing projects, I have no desire to study case interviews again. How much of practice would bring me back to proficiency? 3-4 mos?
Fairly new to the whole consulting game and really switched careers to consulting to specifically work at McKinsey (long story there but in short, admire the work they do). Got to last round interviews in 2019 but didn’t close:/ started a job at Accenture, fairly new here but just curious about tips on how to plan to reapply to McKinsey and if a shift like that would even be possible without an MBA?
Attending Ross this fall for my MBA, any Rossers have any must dos or things I should see while I’m out in Ann Arbor?

What credit cards do you all recommend for travel points/rewards? I don’t travel for work so this will strictly be for personal travel but still looking for all the tips and tricks. I’m booking a trip soon and want to start taking advantage.
How do your companies recognize technical (e.g., STEM) accomplishments? I’ve heard of old school things like fellowships and “Distinguished Engineer” titles. Wondering what other places do now. I’m struggling to see where my path leads if I don’t want to be a people manager and instead focus on becoming a top technical IC instead. Are there clear paths for that anymore?
I am working for a boutique consulting firm for over 5 years now. Have a M.Sc. and not planning on doing a MBA. How do I transition into Tech/ VC?

Anyone interview with McMaster Carr for their manager rotational program? Was wondering what that experience looked like. TIA!
Have a call on Friday with the CEO of an environmental entrepreneurship non-profit. It could lead to a professional opportunity and maybe even billable work I can refer to my firm down the line. I’m going in with an open mind but little concrete information on his entity and goals and ways I could get involved. What questions would you ask such a person?
With the new cohort system does PDubs match offers that are outside of the cohort range? Say if I'm an SA3 and am offered manager at another Big 4; would they match the offer?
Is it a bad idea to cold email a hiring manager / head of department if there’s a job you’re interested in at their company? Different from seeking advice/networking so wasn’t sure.
I need a new job but it seems that the job market in SAn Diego is pretty abysmal. I want to leave but only to something better. 😩
Hello fellow counselors: anyone have experience/insight into dealing with a prospective employer (big law) requiring disclosure of entire case names (pre-lit and lit) that will require disclosure of all parties involved in specific matters? Doing my due diligence re. Ethical implications of disclosure and this is part of it. Any insight is appreciated. TIA.

Firm is located in Los Angeles but remote is also a possibility (I’m fully remote and so are a few others). thoughts on switching to clearview hcp from ZS? Wlb seems to be a pain point (not sure how much to be worried tbh), but the comp also much more attractive. Rest looks similar? Thinking of going at AP level.. so far people seem nice (+ impressive vault reviews)
Anyone here from FTI Consulting? Found a fitting role and I'd really appreciate a referral. Please and thank you 🙏
The project I’m on at work right now is actually pretty interesting, but I’m feeling so burnt out and uninspired that everything I have to do feels like a drag. Wish I could feel excited to design. I miss that feeling.
Does anyone else feel that itch or that in the heart feeling of wanting to go elsewhere and explore options, places and people?? Maybe I’m just feeling this because I’m in a very good job with a good boyfriend and a new home.... or maybe it’s the year long pandemic...but I have this nagging sense that I need to get out and live the wild. Try things and go places and explore art and culture. I’m terrified of living a regular, predictable life. Is it more crazy to go? Or more crazy to stay?
I turned down a bunch of jobs because they seem to be the same as pre covid. And honestly I don’t want to go back to the grind/ stress/ commute. And then they say people don’t want to work. Ummm people don’t want to slave themselves while you line your pockets thank you very much
