Current company: 110k, love the team, company, product
Exit Op: Promotion to Management, 140k, neutral feels on the team, company, product

What was the hike % last year for a Senior 1 with 2nd rating who didn't get any promotion/progression?
Best advice for asking for a raise?
I will join deloitte on 31st jan as an analyst. When can I expect first hike? and how much time it will take to become a consultant? What is the%ge hike one gets during this promotion?

If you’re unhappy with your raise / bonus, but you know it can’t be changed, is there use in communicating that to your manager? Or just look for a new job? 😂
For those not on the big law lockstep compensation, what is your typical raise per year? I’m at a big firm but we pay off market. Thanks.
My five year plan includes being licensed to practice law in the states with the four major cities. I'm currently licensed in one state, and live in a major city. Since the bar exams are online due to pandemic, should I take the leap and quietly study and apply and take the bar in those states while I am able? I would not raise suspicions of bar prep since I'm working from home. The 5 year waive in option doesn't work for me. I'm an entrepreneurial second year with a plan. Thoughts?
I'm up to manager promotion next year. If I switch to another big 4, will they agree to match and put the promotion timing in the offer? If not, how likely will I be promoted just 1 year after joining
Anyone who has worked at Digitas for 1+ years, how is growth over there? At another large holding company I worked for, I was given a very low end media supervisor salary and after almost 2 years, I didn't even receive a cost of living raise. I asked for a raise as I was functioning as an AMD, and they refused (so I left shortly after). I've been working at independent agencies that are more generous with raises and bonuses (and fair salaries), but about to move to Digitas for a new role.
I got an offer at Salesforce that would give me more responsibities/growth, but it's not a raise in title. I'm still interested becuase it would give me a path to FAANG. What do you suggest?
There was someone worked with, her promotion case was basically built on performance managing others out (and a lot of were hired by her initially). I came across a photo of her hanging out with one of those she managed out a while ago - how do people live with themselves and hang out with those they harmed????
I am expecting a promotion this year from C to SC. Should I wait to hear back on the news before I initiate my roll off from the current long term project that I've spent 1.5 years on? Dyingggggg
I'm an S&O SC, a super high performer who got screwed over Manager promotion though I had Promotion Year set at 2019! Am talking with Strategy& for SA, and Google for S&O Lead. Which one to pick?
Curious if anyone has advice if I should look for another job. My boss is a micro manager, not big on WLB, I don’t see an opportunity to independently work on projects ever and there is no path to promotion since it’s a very small team. On the flip side, he’d take me to all exec meetings and it’s been in an incredible learning experience to be in those rooms, listening and knowing where I’m making an impact. He’s been a good coach and thinks highly of me. (Contd.)
$95k current salary as consultant got an offer for $110 as senior consultant. Seems a bit low, but they said it was the best they could do… is that bs? Should I take the $15k raise and title bump?
Hi Ladies- I’ve received constructive feedback that I need to work on my delivery during executive level meetings and briefs as I look towards promotion to the next role. I’m a strong performer and my SM said that he knows I know what I’m talking about but he (and I agree) sees room for improvement on how to deliver messaging to leaders (both internal and client side). Any tips that have helped you become a better presenter for these types of meetings or low risk ways to practice.
Been working as a JAD at the same agency for almost 2 years, is it too early to be promoted to an AD? If yes, is there any way I can push for a pay raise at the very least? Feeling frustrated that I’m still making the same salary as I started out as but not sure if that’s just the norm lol
My friend just got an offer with middle market public accounting firm.
She will start as first year manager $133k + 5k sign on. However she will not be considered for current year(2022) performance evaluation/pay raise as her start date just misses the cut off (end of March), and that being said she won’t get a pay raise or bonus till Aug 2023. What counter offer should she argue yet still reasonable? Should she ask for a higher base or higher sign on?
I started a new job recently that included a big raise for me. However the job is not challenging and there is hardly any work to do. My team is very impressed with me so far, but I am working pretty much three hours a day. What would you do in this situation?
Should i wait for senior promotion probably this July or apply for tax in private sector now? My goal is to do private so i can start part time tax prep practice?
After 7 years of chipping away at it, today I am completely, absolutely, and 100% debt free! NEVER.AGAIN.
How to make the jump from a Board of Directors in a non-profit to the Non-Exec Board of a for-profit company? (Talking about outside of my day job)
Anyone know everything about Kenway Consulting?
Not a tech consultant by any means, but functionally, is using Anaplan a good skillset to pickup? Seems like it could be interesting for modeling purposes
SC @ D and need to make moves, I am ~40% below the salary band (long story). I’ve been applying but keep getting shot down. Ego is a little bruised, don’t feel entitled to positions, but (continued)
Anyone ever done an international transfer to North America? I’ve been trying to get it moving (for the past 2 months) and getting MDs to connect has been proving so hard! Any reccos?
Does BCG have set interview cycles for internal positions? Asking specifically for global specialty business. Recruiter said my interviews would be in January but didn’t get specific on timing.
Working in int. cyber security program as SME (Manager). No team. I’m not an SME per se, but rather an MC. My client wanted to keep me until he has new budget again. We made a deal to put me in this program till end of year. Since Corona Ive nothing to do, working at 20% cap max. Losing my entire motivation to work as a consultant and to expand my professional horizon. What would you do? Leaving is not an option, because being billable is quite relevant these days.
My friend has a MACC and CPA. 2 YOE B4 Audit. 2 YOE B4 valuation. What salary could he expect at FTI or AM in restructuring?
Does anyone have any good tips/tricks for managing a team of 3 while quite young? Any good resources for teaching leadership to reports? I’m 23 for reference and just started leading my first team. Would love to hear advice from those of you that have been through the managing ups and downs!
I am currently S2 in real estate tax group in NY. I have been considering about relocating to Atlanta GA for a while and think now is a good time to move. Is any of the other three companies hiring now in ATL? Any advice? Thanks a bunch.
My perfect role would be 1. Having Coworkers with a range of professional backgrounds- law , accounting, tax, operations 2. Busy season 50 hour weeks 3. Tax related but more planning modeling for clients and/or colaborating with tech folks 4. Pay $75k Denver What would
Any guidance on real estate investment via apps like Fundrise or Yield Street? Worth it or not?
I just received a two hour assignment while out (on day 3 of a 9 day vacation - first one in two years). I am a junior associate, so I’m far from irreplaceable, though we are understaffed. I do not have internet where I’m traveling so to do this assignment id have to drive to the nearest cafe to do the assignment while on vacation. Id probably lose half a day of a pretty expensive vacation. Is the expectation that I do this as a junior associate?
Hello fishes, I have received and email from mindtree with subject line Mindtree Offer letter but the email doesn't contain any letter or email body. Happened with anyone before ?
Do you ever just know you answered an interview question wrong and then know the rest of the interview is a waste of time since you know you blew it?
Market is down! Market is down! Market is down!
Is it okay I log off when I was told to? Just started I January and it’s my first busy season. By hearing and saw all the stories that people are working super long hours made me quite worried as I was told I could leave at 6 pretty much everyday. I did finish what was assigned to me but seeing all the AM and managers staying online till super late made me stressed. Should I ask more to do or is it normal for a first year audit? I was also preparing my ACA exams.
Can anyone tell me about the wlb and overall culture@ in KGS internal audit and sox division?
