Who's gonna respond to Kevin Richard's appreciation email with "thanks for the awesome raise with the record breaking performance year...I truly feel appreciated"
Been at Daddy D for almost 2 years as an Analyst and due for promotion to Consultant when I hit the 2-year mark but honestly tired of doing Salesforce implementation and want to make a jump to Product in tech. Where should I start and what salary band can i negotiate for? Should I wait until my promotion? I have an engineering masters from a Top 10 school in the US.
Currently in my late 20s and have always worked towards short-term goals e.g. the next promotion or switching companies for better opportunities and pay. Lately I’ve been thinking about leaving consulting but feel lost as to what I should do next and have no idea what my long-term goals are. Has anyone at this life stage thought about long-term goals and what you want to do in 10, 20 years?
What r the chances of a person who’s only had in-house experience for 7-8 yrs to lateral into Biglaw? I have had pretty rich experience for in-house (leading internal investigations, directly reporting to management on risks/legal issues, etc.). I recently moved to NYC (my company’s headquarters) but would love to go into Biglaw. Promotion seems to be an uphill battle at my company unless u r from Biglaw. How to start networking and get my foot in the Biglaw door?
Stay at Deloitte as an M and try for SM promotion in 2023 or try to level up now at another firm? Current base is $185K with 12 YOE. M&A IT. I know M to SM moves across firms are tough. Assuming I can make the transition for argument’s sake, should I invest my free time in the holiday season into making the transition? Reasons for moving: Cut down M to SM timeline by a year or two, potentially increase my pay from $185K to the mid $200s.
What questions should I ask to try to gauge the value of the equity being offered by a late-stage startup (series D) about to raise a round and planning to IPO w/in 5 yrs? W/r/t value & dilution plz.
Currently an OCM Associate with 2.5 YOE in consulting & 1 YOE experience in sales and going up for promotion to SA in May/June. Received a Senior Consultant offer from Cognizant that puts TC about 35-40% higher than current TC. Has anyone worked in the OCM practice at Cognizant / have any thoughts about growth, current TC vs offer, etc?

I want to raise my children around other upper class black families. Where should we live? We're currently in Memphis.
Does your firm provide an automatic raise each year of practice? Would you request for a raise if you have done exceptionally well and are paid below industry standards or is it just not the year to do so due to the pandemic?
Raise your hand if you've almost spilled coffee on yourself while purposely ignoring a beautiful girl in the hallway only so that she thinks that you have shit goin on in your life
Strategy Consultant - Currently making $175 base as a 3yr Sr. Mngr. Very happy w my current firm, however I’v had multiple recruiters reach out w/ 200+ base roles. Any advice on how to negotiate a raise at the current firm without burning any bridges? Do I need to have a counter offer in my back pocket?
What’s a normal raise for a first year associate? I made 74K as a first year at a small, local defense firm. Wondering if my raise was below standard.

Considering requesting a promotion from Senior 3 to manager (otherwise will have to go) Already doing manager roles, and don't want to go through another year without the title and appropriate comp.
Would you leave a big 4 to go to smaller company? This is in consulting. At current company on partner track but could be 5-7 years and at smaller company ($1b rev) it would be 1-2 years. Partner comp is similar (top Partner obviously make alot more at big4). 75% raise. Lobe my current company and team. Nervous company is too small and staff may be lesser skilled. Would you move? Nothing is guaranteed of course on Partner track. Would you only leave if it's Partner role not just MD?
EY, what is the current maternity leave policy? Does the firm allow leave starting at 38 weeks? Is disability (6-8 weeks) separate from parental leave (16 weeks)? When is full eligibility - after 12 months of employment?
Are there any Senior Analysts on here getting paid $80K+? Sick of making around $50K for the hard work and long hours I put into this job and the never-ending stress that comes with it.

If you are an associate assisting on a file, you get cc’d on all emails and take time to read them and stay up to date, however you aren’t actually replying to the emails or doing any billable work. But you need to stay in the loop for when you need to eventually draft a document and know the facts. How do you record your time for these emails?
From talking to students at multiple M7 schools, it seems like all of the BB/MBB/FAANG companies recruit at most if not all of the schools . So if you're planning on recruiting for one of these, is there really a major difference in career opportunities between each school? Asking because it seems like some schools are specifically known for finance vs consulting vs tech, but if the companies are all recruiting at all these schools, the differences don't seem as pronounced to me.
Anybody who joined TCS with Joining bonus. Is it paid in 1st month salary or when?Tata Consultancy

Friends - Is any company hiring? Considering H1B transfer? I have total only 28 months left on my visa? Doesn’t look like the firm is going to sponsor green card. I have been performing well in my department no negative reviews in 4 years yet HR denied to file GC. Apparently they are only considering Managers for GC. Is this the same situation in Big 4 Audit? Please comment.
I’m here being humble, no ego with my ears open. I didn’t have the straight path to success like some people did but I landed an Analyst position at Deloitte. I had some entrepreneurial experiences before Deloitte but nothing successful. I’m here to ask for mentorship or advice from people that have 10M plus net worth. I have a 90k salary and basically 0 net worth. What advice would you give myself to at least make it to 5 M in 5 to 10 years if possible? Thank you 🙏🏽.
