I think you should always put your best. You never know when you will need their rec or help
But where do you find the motivation to do so?
I always keep the same pace and do anything I can to help make the transition smooth.
Where do you find the motivation though
You never want to burn a bridge. Do your best to wrap up what's on your plate so you don't leave a bad taste in their mouth. You never know if/when you may need to rely on your current colleagues or manager in the future.
What if they were the ones who burnt all bridges first
As person of integrity, I try to help with what I can during notice period so I leave in good terms
I'm doing great no matter what period!
I work the same way I do usually. IT world is very small, don't know when we will cross our path again.
You should be starting to hand off your work, not taking on any new tasks. So ideally over the first two weeks of notice you're game planning and/or already handing off projects/tasks. Following this, you should be working less and less, offering your help to team members for the remaining duration. Never want to burn a bridge by checking out and leaving your team hanging while you're still there
Won't not accepting new tasks burn bridges? Especially if I'm the only one in the project
I agree with CD1, I work the same way but I focus on training others, passing on institutional knowledge etc. I don't want anyone to complain after I've left about being sloppy lol
Its more so about your team not you. Try to be considerate of them as well.
This feels like something my manager would say
