2 hours a day, roughly 1/4 of what it used to be.
Made sweet Tableau dashboards to track NYC, Italy, the UK, and USA - so I get the stats I need quickly now and just skim for any other headlines.
I disagree D2. We need modelers else we are just reacting.
On in the background basically all day. When I'm heads down I turn it off and blast music.
I’ve stopped following the tv news. I know what I need to do to be safe, and can’t stand listening to the non stop news

Zero. Watching the news makes me depressed and anxious. I simply stay home and do my part as a citizen.
I have to because I work in emergency management 😭
No lie, I love what I do though. My team works remotely so I actually don’t have to work out of the office in Brooklyn.

>12 hours a day. I’ll admit, this isn’t healthy
Me too... it’s making me quite anxious and ruining my sleep
I google it several times per day
Can’t help myself from spending time catching up on the latest each day for ~1 hr. even though it’s so sad 😞 😢 Some of the personal stories really draw you in ...

Used to do two hours. I got a kitten earlier this week and now it’s about 10 minutes a day!
NY, how crazy is your job right now?!?
I listen to a 10 min daily update podcast
I read the NYT briefings in the morning. I then check it off and on all day. I can’t watch broadcast at all. Wish I could make myself stop reading about it
Never watched TV news about it. Been following WSJ and NY Post alerts but had to turn the latter off.

I try to limit it to Governor Cuomo in the morning and then Governor Pritzker and Mayor Lightfoot in the afternoons. Skipping news until David Muir comes on. Then local news at 10PM. Try not to check articles on my phone. Becomes too time consuming and depressing.
Too much. I’m downgrading to 30 minutes once per day during the week because it’s all their is and it’s just too much.
Pro
0 hours because I am trying to keep my energy positive. I know what I need to do to keep the virus away, so I do that without the fear.
A lot! I need to find something to distract myself
