I took 3 weeks. Take the time. They’ll get over it.
I got a job in November, stayed for bonuses at the end of January, left my old job the first week of February and started the new role the last week of March...so nearly 2 months and I regret nothing. If you can push it, take the time, you’ll regret not doing so once you’re knee deep in work again.
Agreed with others above. Two weeks MINIMUM. This is one of few times in Big Law that you have no cases, clients, or demands. You won’t regret taking time to recover.
(But you might regret going back.)

I took two and still wish I’d insisted on more.
I too a month off, but really 6 weeks. I gave two weeks when I had zero on my plate, so I didn’t have to do a damn thing and frankly I wouldn’t have regardless. There is no cause for loyalty in big law. Live your life for you and you only

It does—voluntary or involuntary job loss (at least, that’s my understanding).
I took two weeks and I think that's the minimum you should take. Definitely take more if you can swing it.
A month
Three weeks. And that still wasn’t enough.
I’m about to take 6 - why do you even need to tell them? Can’t you just give them a start date and not say when you are quitting?

Take minimum a month. Means very little to them practically, and a lot to you mentally. You don’t owe them a sooner start date.
