I hit my 401k pre-tax and ROTH contribution limit of $19,500 early (didn’t change my allocation when I got bonuses). I have also already hit my max company match. With the extra income, should I:

1) pile on to after-tax 401k

2) max out pre-tax and ROTH IRA

3) make extra monthly payments towards my mortgage

4) invest elsewhere such as brokerage account or crypto

Sorry, but that isn’t good enough for me. (Continued in comments)

I’m noticing something & I wonder if anyone else experiencing same. Companies aren’t willing to negotiate. This is my experience, sequentially over a 2 year period. Company 1, no budge on base, yes to sign on bonus. Company 2, no budge on base, yes to sign on. Company 3, no budge on base, yes to sign on. Company 4, no budge on base or bonus. I’m already below market rate and really trying to level up with rising costs of living etc. Plus I want to earn what I’m worth in the market now if I can

I recently interviewed for a great company and they are offer me a base + commission salary of which the base salary is much lower (15k less) than what I was making in previous role and is also below the industry rate. They say the commission will make up for my expectations. Now I am in a bit in bind because this is great company and will give me good exposure for future opportunities but I also want to negotiate the salary. How can I approach this?

For internal promotion with title increase... do you start with your pitch first or the $. My pitch will include market rate, value I'm bringing and will continue to bring with examples. Wondering if I should also include how we have been having a hard time filling positions so the market is in employee favor for my role as well as inflation? Should I go into granular detail on the math done to get to my #such as market average for my role the % increase I had for my last promotion etc
