Usually a minimum of 1.5-2years span is good enough to move up to JG4. All you need is an open position and the hiring manager wiling to have you onboarded, and your current line manager to release you. At the same time, I have seen a few folks who have struggled to get a JG4 role even after 5years. So all in all it depends on how you play your cards well. Performance in the current role will always be a great pivot at the same time. Hope this helps.

If you have the right contacts and performance to back it up, you can get a jg4 role in 2yrs..But on an average in Shell, it takes 3-4 yrs
