Does anyone have tips for identifying/connecting with recruiters who focus on hiring independent/contract consultants?
What’s the most strategic exit you can make when getting a new job? I want to roll off my project and just say I am looking for a new project and just never take a new one... (sounds terrible I know) My current project contract is about to be over and a lot of people are using it as an opportunity to roll off even though they’re prolly gonna renew it. Start date for my new job is negotiable so I really want to collect as many checks and stack PTO as much as I can. Deloitte Accenture EY PwC Boston Consulting Group Accenture
For those in government, is it difficult to land a position without a CPA? Currently have 3 years in PA, tax senior, Enrolled agent & MST and looking to leave PA next year. The Tax analyst role in IRS’ LB&A is interesting to me. What skills/certifications do they value in those positions in their hiring process?
Need marital investment advice. My FIL recently gave some money to my wife which she wants to invest in rental properties. She wants me to do all the leg work (find a property to buy, rent it out, do the legal work, maintenance, etc.) and is open to hiring agents, property managers, lawyers, etc. I am happy to help her build her portfolio, but I am afraid of my FIL’s involvement. He is a hot head and I feel I will have a sword hanging over my head in case a deal goes sideways. Continued…
Any tips for negotiating your severance for a non-partner role? Many good years at the firm—it’s just not working out of late and both me and my firm are looking to part ways.
Why do consulting firms not take a more active role in managing staff utilization? It seems like every woman for herself out there and a lot of wasted time/energy and unnecessary anxiety. Why?
Has anyone heard of the Product Development Specialist, Community Operations role at facebook? is it a good role worth pursuing?
I’m in final discussions with PwC for an SM2 role in tech consulting. What is a good TC to expect (base, bonus, sign in)

Got an offer from ACN for a Senior Manager role and was curious if there is a defined process to get Managing Director, or is it all gut feel and back room deals?
6+ years of experience in SFMC as an architect, currently wasting my time and skills in ACN. Any referrals for the mothership? Ideal role would be program architect. I'm based out of Toronto, Canada but would consider the US
Hi, where or what types of companies should sophomores & juniors apply for next summer (2022) to recruit for IB the following summer (2023)? This summer BBs wrapped up SA IB recruitment, EBs even earlier, and a fair amount of my friends missed out big time. Also, if a sophomore or junior doesn’t get a finance-related summer internship (I.e tech) and aims for an IB SA or FT position, is it harder to break in? Appreciate any advice and insight, thank you.
Hi fishes, Can some one let me know the levels at EYP, currently offered a Senior Associate role with 4 YOE.
Honest question. When a client asks you a question that you need to refer to the billing attorney (assume it makes sense to do so and copy the client on convo in adding them in) are you all refraining from using the term billing attorney to clarify a role or is it pretty common to do so in client communications? Had one attorney show a sensitivity to the term but never had that happen before. Wondering if that is a common or uncommon sinsitivity?
Anyone interviewed with S&O at DoorDash? Got an interview for a senior associate role. They asked me to do a take home exercise which takes 4-5 hrs to complete. Worth the time? What’s the pay range look like? 5 YOE in ops consulting.
Hi everyone, i need a referral in flipkart / walmart for Senior Software Engineer kind of role. Can someone help me out?
Are exit opportunities as a partner really that much better than an intern? What's the difference?
i was laid off yesterday and only have 5 months of associate producer experience. anyone know of anyone hiring entry level production positions around chicago?
NYC Fish - name your position and salary?
I have a huge crush on an recently-hired intern. I’m married and twice as old. I would never act on it. But.... swoon
8 o'clock meeting in the client site, caught an early flight and planned to get some sleep on the flight. The fucking baby next to me started crying his lungs out. FML.
My background check is taking forever and now they are asking me to provide my letter of separation for a job I held 7 years back. This is making me anxious since I am also in the process of H1B transfer - I just want them to tell me if I passed the check or not before I resign. - Anyone have an experience with a spotty background check and how fast/tedious it was. For ref for both my last jobs (in US) it was seamless.
I’m applying for an industry job and the company has no parental leave benefits whatsoever. Even FMLA is just unpaid 12 weeks and require 1 yr of service. HR rep literally said “my kid is 18, I don’t
Sitting on offer for $120k, excellent benefits and only 40-50% travel. 3+ YOE. How do those of you with families deal with the FOMO of that extra ~20% pay you could get at more like 80% travel?
What are the odds of Bonvoy, Hyatt, and others extending 2020/21 status into 2022? Similar to how Delta just extended their medallion status into 2022?
I want to quit but am kinda scared. I’m a TCII and will hopefully be promoted in May to senior. Any success (or failure) stories about transitioning out of Big 4?
How does Senior Consultant at IBM translate to Accenture? And what is the salary range for that position?
Is a breakaway from Tech consulting to economic development possible? What are your stories or stories you’ve heard? Thanks for all advice/opinion. 2 years in after college with recent promotion
Would it be looked down upon by industry if I became an independent contractor? S&O manager with 8 YOE. Unhappy in current role - work is not engaging and passed over for promotion. Have an opportunity to become a subcontractor with 1,200 min. annual hours for next 2 years. Take home pay would be 2X what I make currently, but would need to pay for my own insurance / other work expenses. If I do this, would firms I apply later for (after I figure what I want in life) look at this as a negative?
Dk where this belongs but do any of you have life insurance policies on your parents? If so, how did you approach your parents?
Any good ideas for teaching students about coins? Our first graders have been struggling to master lessons about money.
The Home Office releases on the new PBS immigration policy in the UK mention removal of cooling off period for shifting from Tier 2 ICT to Tier 2 General visa. Does anyone know if this is only for new Tier 2 ICT visa folks or would this applying to existing Tier 2 visa holders too?

To all my SDRs/AEs/AMs/BDRs that are out there, I’m running an experiment that I’ve never seen before: Have you ever worked together with a teammate to close your company’s deals? I’m talking start to finish of sales process, from cold call to closed booking. I’m curious to know if folks always tackle calls by themselves, particularly intro calls, and beyond. Obviously there has to be a handoff at some point, but where is that inflection point? Trust is probably THE most important rapport
Best place to buy an comfy at home office chair? Want to go and try them out rather than buying online. Low cost, but comfortable, is ideal.
