I did three times, two different men. First was date rape, and I had no idea I was ovulating. Second and third were on purpose, first month of trying. I will never tell any of my friends though (the fertility part, not the date rape).
Happened to me for my first kid, which unfortunately made me think the next time would be just as easy...but then boom, now working through secondary infertility (1.5 years of trying including two miscarriages)

I think statistically a healthy couple has something like a 20% chance of getting pregnant each month (might be wrong on that %, someone can fact check me). So assuming you have no fertility probs, the likelihood of getting pregnant the first month is 20%. And the chance of you having some type of fertility probs is like 12%, I think. FWIW, I got pregnant with my first after 7 months of trying and my second after 3.

The statistics would tell you it’s not very likely
First “try” here - Two weeks after I stopped the pill... we were planning to give it a couple months to let my regulate before we began to even track cycles, etc. kinda a shock tbh. Of course only after does my mom tell me she got pregnant first try for all three of her kids (same for my sister...). It is totally normal to take up to a year though!
Currently 4 weeks pregnant after our first try. I have been off of hormonal birth control for 2 years however. For my sister, it took a whole year to get pregnant with her first.
Something like 40%+ of pregnancies are unplanned in the US... so lots of those "first tries" may have been oopsies. No judgment obvi.
Stats say something like 20-30% chance even if no fertility issues and ovulating, and then a fun 20-25% chance you miscarry after that 🙄. Average therefore is usually quoted at 4 months (many doctors say try for a full year). Of 5 close friends with babies: - 1st try - 2nd try (me) - 4th try - 6th try - IVF after 1 yr trying, 2nd implantation My friend group jives relatively well with the stats I guess!
We got pregnant really easily which surprised both of us. But then had a couple miscarriages before having our daughter. I was 37 and hubby was 36 first time we got pregnant. It’s different for everyone.
I got pregnant the first time we tried - I had been off hormonal birth control for 2 years and using the Natural Cycles app so I knew my ovulation window. Age 30. Currently nursing him :)

Happened to me with both kids (both planned), but I am sure we had a lot of good luck
I read “Taking Charge of Your Fertility” and it was eye opening. I fully credit it with helping me nail my timing. I got pregnant with both kids on the first try. I was prepared for a slog since I was 34, but had no issues at 34 or 37. I have also had a cycle like clockwork my whole life, which makes it very easy to predict when I’m going to ovulate. I can’t recommend the book enough.
I had 2 babies and tried exactly 2 times. But I am the only one in my friend group with that experience.
32, first (and currently only) baby took 9 months of trying with no known underlying fertility issues. Had been off the pill for more than a year. I only know 1 person who go pregnant on the very first try. Most of my friends ranged from 2 months to 2 years (all with no known fertility issues) 🤷🏻♀️ can’t bank on these things
