How often do u rebalance your portfolio? Is there a disadvantage to rebalancing ur roth 401k too often (once every 2-3 months)

I just started doing my taxes for the year and it shows we have to pay 12k 🤮 how to avoid this next year? Wife not investing in 401k which we plan to change..

Does it make sense to take out money to max out one's Roth IRA during the 2 years of b-school? Anticipate making more than the income limit for contribution post graduation and thereafter.

The mortgage brokers discourage me from spending a ton on points (rolled in, not up front). In some cases, it’s a 16 year break even. They are essentially the same thing (correct me if I’m oversimplifying) with the main difference being 401ks are provided by employers.
