How often do you all review your rates? I’m 6 months into partnership and my rate is the same as it was two years ago when I started at this firm as a 4th year (currently had a license just over 6 years and the 5.5 I’ve been in practice are all domestic relations)

Mine is the same as it was when I made partner early 2020. I think one of my partner’s rates has been the same for the 10 years I’ve been here. One other partner increased his by $50/hour.

My partner/former boss has been steady at $100 over me. We’ve been small— him and two associates (me and another) was as big as we got and our fee agreement says him at X, all associates at Y. So don’t know when his last increase was. And I know everyone is concerned about the economy. But when I made partner, I was like: how is my rate stagnant and still what is was when I began my 4th year? Granted I’m a 6th year going onto 7th soon.

Small firms don’t increase their rates as often as medium or big firms. But if you’re a partner now ask your partner.

Usually once a year. This year there was a mid-year rate increase among willing participants due to inflation.

Hi! I've been trying to reach the IRS about correcting a name on a return, they won't process my tax return bc of this error. I call the number they provide 800-829-0582 ex. 372 or 772 and when I call i get a message that I need to call the number above. So it's driving me nuts bc it's a literal circle. I've tried calling the number listed on the IRS website and it's only prerecord info. I don't know what to do, any suggestions?

I need some legit feedback on what is it like to be a UXD at companies like Accenture?
They claim to do a lot of research oriented designs, as everyone. But is that really the case or it's like some other service based companies where the UX is almost vague, and happens mostly based on what the managers think to be good?

Does UX have any value or it's just drafting wireframes based on ideations by the managers and then UI designs?

Question re: salary. I’m thinking about accepting an offer at a small (4-6 attorneys) transactional firm. I would primarily be working on NDAs for clients. The role sounds great (no billable hours, fully remote, flexible hours/ can work from anywhere); however, the salary is $70K. I’m a new attorney, with only one year of experience. Does this salary seem low? If so, any advice on what someone in my position should ask for?
