Heck yeah I’m taking 10. I used like 5 last year and they were all legit. Granted I did use these days for a lot of doctor visits but still if I wake up with a small headache I’m taking a sick day if I have a day to spare
@Partner 1...thank goodness someone else feels this way. I don't understand why my staff feel they have to come in when sick. It's bad for the team and even worse to go into a client's office hacking up a lung or blowing your nose
^Are you wasted?
I’ve used about 10 over 5 years, only 3 of them were legit the others were just me not wanting to go to work.
EY says in average we all use 3.5 a year, at least that was the reasoning for going from unlimited sick to 10 days.. now we all take 10. #thatbackfired
7 so far have 3 more to kill by EOY
I'm definitely treating the 10 sick says as vacation. I probably took 1 last year, and I'm at 7 now 😂
I tend to take a few hours here and there for doctor or dentist appointments and then inevitably I get one bad cold each year and take a day or two and then stomach bug, bad hangover, cramps, or food poisoning usually claim the rest. Really, sick days as a manager are kind of a moot point because we can typically just "work from home" if we are sick and flex our time around. Work has to get done at some point, so sick days are kind of a joke in truth
I use about 6 a year. They’re mostly ‘I’m really burned out’ days compared to sick days
I only take sck days when I'm truly sick, on occasion for a mental health day. Going into the office or the client site when you're physically sick is not a Badge of Courage. It's stupid. You make others sick and then they can't work. Stay home if you're sick. I've sent people home for coming in the office when they're sick.
I took 3 my first year, now that they limited to 10 I've already used 6. Only two were so bad that I couldn't move. Others were head colds/mental health but tbh I worked a few hours on those days just to not get behind anyways
I have a kid so more than I'd like. But it's more like sick hours that eventually add up to days.
@PwC3....there's a bereavement code for that just FYI. Firm gives you a week of time for family members (I know because someone close to me passed last year). Sorry for your loss...
I got sick a lot...just used two weeks
I have never used one on the weekends. I never have just because if I am sick I do stay home I have just never hit the sick day code.
Never
Probably 6-10 per year
I used about 13 days last years, it was nice
7 or 8 so far but mostly used for kid when he’s sick/ has doctor appointment
I work from home when sick
