Hi Fishes. Need some help with in-hand salary calculation. Can anyone help what will be in-hand after taxes and pf deduction
I’m currently 6 months into my first job, and I plan on bringing up my salary during my 1 year performance review (we do 1 every quarter). Since our company doesn’t have stocks, my TC would just be base salary + benefits. When doing my research on the market value and average compensation for similar roles in the same location (I’m going to be using levels.fyi), would it be fair to compare my TC with the TC of a company that offers bonuses such as stock bonuses? Currently interviewing for a Core Solution Engineering role at Salesforce (level is still tbd). Anyone know the pay ranges between Sr., Lead, Master levels? I’d like to be prepared if/when I get an offer
I'm getting burned out in my current role as a Sr. Solutions Architect. We're understaffed and management isn't doing anything about it. The AEs lean on us too much because nobody is technical enough to understand it let alone sell our products.. What options do I have for a lateral career change? I have 6+ YOE in tech presales. Willing to take a pay cut. Currently making ~$215k after variable and overtime pay. Looking to stay at or above $180k OTE if I pivot.

Hi all, I’m 3 years out of college: 2 years as a software engineer, transitioned into an SA role at the same company a year ago. There’s been enough negative changes the last few months under new management that I’d really like to look for a job elsewhere. Will I have any chance of finding good work with just 1 year of experience? I’m located in southern CA
Has anyone transitioned from being client facing to fully remote software sales? If so, what were the major differences in day to day? I'm currently on site with customers 3 days a week focused around hardware sales but have an interesting opportunity for fully remote software at a higher pay.

Hey everyone! I’m a new grad with an offer for a sales engineer position and I wanted to know if any one in this bowl has transitioned out of sales/solutions engineering into another role or industry? Any companies, non-startups, hiring for folks with a healthcare consulting background? TIA
I feel like I'm underpaid but not totally sure. I have ~3.5YoE came from consulting (Accenture) to an Solutions Engr role two months ago. I used to make $108k and now I make $145k. I really wanted to join a company that was preIPO but unfortunately my new company has already been exited few months back so no equity or stock. I did get a small signing bonus though. I live in tri-state area but not NY. Is this a fair salary?

I'm in talks for a role with another consulting firm. It's like 40% sales engineer, 40% hands-on solution architect/consultant (for actual engagements), 20% internal product/solution development + people management. Any suggestions for how to title this role?
Hi All, I’m currently working for a Servicenow partner as an SE. I want to work for SNOW directly as a SE. Do you think it would be possible to land a position there coming from a partner?
Currently a Solutions Consultant at Pegasystems.
I am interviewing at and considering making a jump to Oracle as a Specialist Solutions Consultant.
The reason for my move is currently at Pega SCs are treated more as AEs or Account Managers. The role at Oracle would be more of a true SC position. I also feel that Oracle will look BETTER on a resume and someone as young as me would have BETTER programs in place to train me and give me the foundation needed to be a successful SC.
For those who feel they have "work-life balance" what does this mean to you? What does that look like? Are you able to balance being extremely driven with non-work activity?
I am currently looking to break into pre sales through a SE role. I’ve gone through a few interviews but am struggling to make traction, I think due to my lack of hard technical skills. I’m currently in IT management consulting and have been in the health IT space specifically for the past 8 years. Would love to connect with anyone they may have made a similar transition from management consulting to pre sales. I have 2 years of experience in SaaS sales but that was about 4 years ago. Thanks!
