Recently promoted to L5 in Strategy & Ops at Google. Feels like a good time to take stock of my career. I don't think I want to pursue a longer career in StratOps, but would like to stay in Google for the foreseeable future. I’d like to work for the FBI either as a Special Agent or Professional Staff as a Forensic Accountant. I am currently a Senior Forensic Accountant at a public accounting firm but we mainly handle commercial damage calculations, business valuations, and SOME investigations that one might think of as “was there fraud? We’re not sure, please Mr. Forensic Accountant can you take a look at our QBs?”

I had a HR Discussion after clearing 2 HCL rounds and 2 client interviews . HR is not considering moving above 40% hike no matter whatever I say to justify, the Discussion was like talking to a wall . Any suggestions to get another 10-15% more (first offer)? Will HR reject me stating this reason in HCL ?? FYI- Client and the project team wants to take him in as per their feedback to me and I feel i am the right person for the role too .. 9 years exp -Infra storage domain .

Currently seeking a remote HR/ Recruiting role. Any tips on how I can find a remote role at a senior to executive level?

I work in manufacturing and have seen an uptick in employees abusing substances. We have a zero tolerance policy & are abiding by it. We have trained all out supervisor on reasonable suspicion & have provided them with tools to help identify. With that I’m trying to find ways to get to our employees who may be struggling BEFORE they decide to come to work impaired. Any ideas on what to do? We do have an EAP & are encouraging employees to utilize the services but it may be falling on deaf ears.
