Context:

I recently accepted a position at the company and have been working as a temp for the past 3 months. I really enjoy the people I work with and the company seems to really support its employees, however it is in a field that doesnt exactly align with what I would like to be doing. And unfortunately the compensation package is also lacking.

I just had the initial call with HR. I was told that Senior Analysts start at 56k and Business Operations Specialists start at 67k. I was told the next step was Junior Manager but they rarely started anyone at that level. I'm shocked. Is that accurate or are they trying to lower my expectations? I have an MBA and an MHA and 20 years military experience.

Been feeling burnt out for a while. Are there exit opportunities where there is a more direct correlation between time and energy spent on work and pay? Currently feeling like the time commitment is crushing me and at the end of the day my pay is very modest.

Can anyone tell me about the work culture l work life balance| nd salary structure in Honeywell???

have an opportunity to join an exciting, fast growing tech company. great comp and equity. the scope of the role is good, lots of opportunity to build big programs, high potential for growth - but the title seems junior for my experience (also brand side). I’ve been able to progress quite fast in my career so far and it’s freaking me out to take a “step down”. titles don’t matter, do they???

Could anyone give realistic comp ranges for the different ranks in consulting (i.e. senior consultant, manager, senior manager, associate Partner, senior Partner)? Provide firm name or even tier.

What firms do higher variable comp? I’m familiar with A&M’s model, but curious if there are others. Figure if I’m busting it, might as well get compensated for it.

Need some help/advice from the bowl:
We are aiming to buy a brownstone in New York and it’s listed for $2.5M. Bank (first republic) is requiring a 25% down payment ($625K) and if we collect all of our cash/savings we are able to put $400K together so missing $225K. Why don’t all public elementary schools go until 6? Even if 3-6pm is just kids hanging out and playing with aides watching them. Would solve so many issues. My town has an after care program- why it’s separate from the schools doesn’t make any sense to me.
