I’m stuck between a rock and a hard place. I’m 34 not happy with my earnings after being in this field since 18. I can’t seem to advance even though I’m educated and experienced. I could go back to school for nursing and do well. School would probably take 2-3 years. My goal is to have a great career and not struggle financially. Now my husband who is 46 says let’s have a baby. Going to school will delay or potentially turn into me not having the family I always wanted. I feel I have to choose.

Planning to move back to our hometown before the baby is due which would make me about 6-7 months (move in April, due date is early July). Is it worth it to try and find a new job the last couple months of pregnancy or should I use that time to settle in to our new place before baby arrives? Did anyone else adopt the new Florida Wonders curriculum? We just adopted it this school year, and I teach 4th grade. My team and I have not found a good flow, schedule, or whatever you want to call it. We feel like it teaches too many skills in one lesson, and we are not able to truly teach anything “deep” enough for students to master. Does anyone have any insight? What do you do? Anyone experiencing depression? I did a self assessment, and scored 2.5/5. Extreme fatigue, loss of joy and some level of loss of appetite ( not really experiencing prolonged sadness and trouble sleeping). If you are, are you seeking professional help? I’m 12 weeks pregnant. Had one serious depression episode during week 7, but has been getting better since. This week I feel like I’m getting back into the darkness again though. Is this gonna get better past trim1 or not really?

What is a useful, comprehensive but not too long of a book for parenting toddlers?

LO is 16 months old, very sweet and social, at the park every day with other kids with either me or her nanny. Not in day care. Yesterday we had a play date and she slapped another baby on the head. Not hard and did not scare her, but the act of “aggression” took me by surprise and I felt terrible about it. Our school uses Foss Kits for Science and I was told when students return, we will need to sanitize all items before and after each use. This doesn’t seem possible in a middle school setting where each period has a 4 minute break and 25 students in each period. What do you do in your classroom to minimize the amount of work needed to clean and sanitize items. I don’t want to short change the students’ hands-on experiences.

So how do you go about explaining needing to pump? My first day back is coming up and I’ll be in an all day client meeting. Do you just say ‘I have to pump around 9:30, 12:30 and 3:30’ and leave?
