How realistic is going from newly promoted senior to manager in private? Is this a realistic jump or are most places looking for more experience? I want to get out of public but I’m not sure if I should suck it up until I can snag a risk/IA manager job or try to go do something else now.

Really depends on the company. Audit managers where I work require 6 years of experience, so you’d have to be a manager or senior manager to get a manager job here.
