HBS will accept a couple from PwC and EY every year :)
Lol the KPMG shade is unfair
Realistic isn’t the right word cause there’s a bunch of people from MBB with 760+s that didn’t get interviews form HBS - it’s really about your story and what makes you different and etc
Got it, makes sense. I always hear people talk about to your story, etc.
When people say this are they referring to your career development / future career plans & aspirations or more about you as a person? Sorry if this question seems dumb but I remember my college app essays were more about me as a person / who I am and what I stand for. Not sure if it’s different for MBA app. Haven’t applied for school in so long 😭
A few get in every year my dude!
I agree with what everyone has said but in the spirit of your actual question let me try and help answer:
From a pure employer prestige and role standpoint, it obviously may not help you as much as MBB/PE/VC/IB. HBS doesn't take a lot of B4 kids generally so it is that much more important to show (i) the impact you made in your projects (ii) career trajectory (e.g., early promos) and (iii) that your story and career goals are super tight (in other words demonstrate that you have been a leader in the past and will continue to be one of prominence even after HBS)
Thank you, I definitely will apply to a combo of M7 and T15 schools! I also don’t plan on going for at least another 3ish years (only a little over 1 year into my career). Just trying to be a bit more proactive this time around (compared to how I was in college).
I worked at RSM and am now at HBS so basically anyone can get in
That’s awesome, any tips?
Depends on story
Got it, thanks for the tips!
