How realistic is it to get a remote paralegal position with less than a year experience? I was just laid off from a small firm and loved the remote work environment…

Probably not. I've been applying for remote paralegal jobs for the last 6 months and it's really competitive because more people can apply. Sometimes I go back on Indeed (which shows you how many people applied) and I was shocked to see that some roles get like 2-3k applicants. It's really hard to compete with that w/o lots of experience. I think it would be easier to find hybrid options though.

I agree with above, it’s difficult for the good remote positions because there are hundreds if not thousands of applicants. Probably much easier to get hybrid positions. It may be beneficial for you to be hybrid depending on what type of law you do since you are just starting out.

Hi there- I have a couple questions I’d love some insight on. What is a typical salary range for an associate dir or dir of learning & dev in NYC?

I just graduated with my PsyD in school psych & several years experience in education, clinical psych & also as an admin/EA at a marketing firm HQ but am planning on interviewing for learning & dev roles. Total burnout in education and mental health fields. Could this be an obtainable entry point level/role given my career snapshot above? Thanks!

So I recently started a position with Fox. When it was presented to me in interview, I was told I would be working aligned with Fox Sports & Entertainment, not so much News. Financially, it’s the best position I been in. But mentally in this environment, it’s depressing & slow. Nothing innovative or engaging. What would you do?

Additional Posts in Paralegals

Just a question, maybe more of a vent, but I have been a paralegal for almost 6 years and worked in 3 different law firms and there is always 1 partner that just doesn’t want to do any work but also doesn’t want to retire. And I have always been the main/only paralegal for them. They are always confused about how to practice, don’t remember or just avoid the work. I have no idea how to manage them and get my work done. Any tips?
