Senior manager vs director salary at doordash?
Hello everyone, good Morning.

Downgrade is rare. Rescind is a possibility if they say no and go to the next candidate.
A written offer is generated after a verbal has been committed. There’s a process to generate a written offer and must go through a compensation review process and approvals. It’s not just a pdf. It’s an involved process and often, a hiring manager will just go with the next candidate than initiate a new process that takes a couple of weeks to complete.

As risky as anything
It’s not like they cannot create a pdf with new numbers. Do you really want to work for a firm that will downgrade or rescind an offer if you ask for more ?
They can say it’s final and you can go with that
Do it I just give a sign on bonus when people ask, just make sure do it nicely. Like “I’m really excited about joining but I was wondering if there is room in salary space. Never hurts to ask. As long as you do it with enthusiasm
LOL I know where you’re coming from but once I max out my budget for my role and the pay analysis lines up with your experience AND you’re an amazing candidate, it’s either a sign on bonus or I gotta find some else
Chances of downgrade are slim I’d say, what would they achieve by doing that?
How much are you looking to negotiate by?
Always negotiate. My very first job offer in tech got me so emotional and excited that I nearly let a $5k increase in my salary escape me. I wasn’t pushy or demanding, I just knew the company had more to offer based on research. Of course, know your limits, and don't be too greedy, it'll be a shame if the company were to pull the offer away for something like a $1-2k difference
Even if it’s a pretty excellent one
You can still work for this company, but remember that you'll walk in the company's vicinity with a gigantic target and IF a layoff takes place, you'll be the first.
