I am currently on notice period and my LWD is Sep 2, 2022. Today, I got an offer from state street mentioning my joining date as Sep 12, 2022 even though I already told HR that I would like to join from Sep 5 itself. How can I convince HR to prepone my joining date to Sep 5, 2022. I don't want to lose my one week salary guys. Pls suggest. State Street

LTI and Mindtree merger planned on 6 May as per media report . The brand name Mindtree will be dissolved. Seems appraisal discussions and hike is pending due to this event.
Don't expect good hike and people who can sense the future work culture , will start looking for the change now

A1 is right. Much less effort and more chance to potentially get a 10 - 20% bump (I’d shoot for 30 depending on what your skills are). However, if you do plan on staying.. Make sure you understand your market value. Ideally you would have a job in hand. Have a list of facts to support your case i.e., taking on more responsibilities, high utilization, marketability, impact to revenue or expenditure etc.
One of my early jobs I asked for a raised. GM said, i think what we’re paying you is fair. I said, okay, i guess things will work itself out then. He said, what do you mean? Well, if you’re paying me market value then I won’t be able to leave. If you’re not, then I’ll be leaving.
A couple weeks later I got a job paying 30% more. He tried to get me to stay. Nope.
1% for 3 years?? Unless you really like it, you should try switching jobs
I agree. They’re fully aware that 1% is below the standard and intentionally ripping you off and undervaluing you.

Don’t even bother. Just lateral to another firm. It’ll net you far more and the market is hot right now.
