So, a month ago I was offered a data engineer position at a fintech firm. I was going to accept it. The interview process had taken over a month. Then, at the last minute, an old coworker/friend - who is a manager at FAANG now - randomly offered me a data engineer __contractor__ position at a FAANG. Sr. Program Manager (non tech) L6 SPECT TC range. I have a call with the hiring manager soon. I passed the loop and they offered me a senior manager position. In the HQ2/Washington DC area. Wondering what I should expect for total compensation so I can go in with a little bit of knowledge for negotiation. The Amazon recruiter said it’s typically 190k but I don’t know if they tell you a low number. Masters degree, YOE 18.
