How long do you (really) need to wait before applying again to MBB after not been screened / failing the interviews?
I’m stressing out! I spent some time interviewing this summer just to get some interview practice while it’s convenient. However, I ended up with an awesome offer to join a large public company’s internal audit department. I’m extremely torn between if this is the right move or not and was wondering if anyone has found themselves or has watched a friend/peer make this move? Pay bump is significant (like 80% increase in total comp) but I just don’t know if I’ll like it. Any thoughts appreciated!
Mck🐠, my wife just got an interview of Data Scientist - Agriculture Commodity Research Engine (ACRE). Any insights would be much appreciated!
A3 interviewing for industry job, F25 Company, $10K boost to base and historical 8-10% ann bonus. Only thing is it's as a Fin. Analyst in Fixed Assets. Am I pigeonholing myself too early in my career?
Do you take interviews even if you’re not super interested in the agency, just to see/create connections? Or is it better to not take the interview, save everyone’s time?
Hi all, I’m wrapping up my first year in audit and am looking to a potential exit in sales - I have my CPA exams passed but don’t have the 1 year experience quite yet. I have a final round interview for an entry level SaaS sales role with a first year base of ~75k and 20-30k in commissions assuming I meet my targets. I have a feeling if I secure the position, I won’t be able to delay the start date before I hit my 1 year experience mark. I want the credential but don’t want to pass this up.
I am applying for some in-house roles and wanted to hear from other brand strategists who have made the transition. Thinking about job requirements like “experience developing a marketing plan” which a strategist would understand but not have experience developing...I’m wondering how you spoke about your background and skill set in an interview process to overcome a lack of in-house experience? Thanks for any thoughts
Anyone ever interview via video conference at their current place of work? Other than getting caught obviously, is that tacky? The lighting and space is perfect!
Interviewing at Accenture for Patient Customer Service Access Manager. Any interviewing tips? First round is situational which I have tomorrow, and then a skills interview. Any insights on either?
I'm a second year analyst. I just had a recruiter ask me if I can perform a DCF..😑😑😑. I wouldn't be in banking if I couldn't do that shit. Standard IB interview question.
1.5 years experience, 4 WD projects and 3 certifications. Currently interviewing with a boutique firm. Ideas on salary expectations?
I work in applying advanced analytics, data science, and artificial intelligence to designing supply chains. For a number of reasons, I am looking to move into solo consulting in this field, within the next several months. For those in the know, I'd like to get a feel for the market for consulting in this area, and what rates are typical. I have almost a decade of experience in this specialty + applicable MS degree. Thanks in advance.
Trying to land a role as a AWS Solutions Architect. I have the right certs but not the right experience for an interview. Any ideas how I could get a break? Comfortable with hands on with the console
Sh!t. Walk into a 20-seat restaurant in west village with my bf only to find my former client MD sitting right next to me... guess he knows I'm gay now #happyPride 🏳️🌈🌈
Is it feasible to get an in-person MBA if you plan to have a child? Main Concerns: financials, work load, networking Additional info: Age 28, wife would take off from work to be primary caregiver
I’m looking to see who has the best 401k package in the fed space. Anyone think I could find a small biz and get the full $19k match as a part of my comp?
Hi, I’ve completed 3 years as H1B and just received extension for the next 3 years. My employer will file prevailing wage with the DOL in the next 3 months in EB3. I have heard that some FAANG companies start filing GC within 3 months of joining. I’m already studying to switch jobs. How much time do I have to switch jobs so that there is adequate time left for GC application?
I just need to get this off my chest. I went from insurance defense to workers comp because I like that side of the v. and I thought it would lead to a decent pay raise. I wasn't making market value at ID firm and the firm had no more money to give (sometimes had to wait a week for paychecks to issue due to finance problems). After a year at this new firm, I definitely have my bearings of WC and ask for a raise during my review. That was denied and they had their feedback. After about 6 months..
How is equity taxed as part of compensation taxes? Is it taxed at the strike price as it vests as normal income + capital gains when it’s exercised ? Or is it taxed when exercised at both simultaneously? If it’s the former, kinda sucks to pay significant taxes in cash for a non-cash acquisition.
27, director at B4 in TC. been a director 6 months. Do people think an MBA would add value or just slow my path to partner?
If Genie gave you a choice to possess (only) one superpower for rest of your life, what would you select and why? PS: Your superpower can't stop COVID-19 outbreak / spread.
Anyone on H1b recently travel to Europe and return? Have a family event coming up in October and trying to figure out what process hoops there are to jump. Would appreciate anyone that can share their recent experience
At 25 would you max 401k then focus on saving for a down payment or prioritize the down payment and lower 401k contribution?
Best office chair? And other WFH splurges. Looks like we’ll be stuck working from home for a while. What are some worthwhile splurges to make WFH more enjoyable?
