Sounds good! My parents do not wanna let me travel overseas despite not living together.

Honestly, I just decided to start skydiving and used the time to work towards my license. couldn’t recommend it more.

💳Credit card help💳 Starting a new job in two weeks. The new company does not give a corporate card, so I get to pick my own. If things were normal and I was traveling / spending as usual, getting the CSR or AMEX platinum would make sense. But with things the way they are, what should I do? Work related expenses will be minimal, but Im moving/furnishing an apartment so personal spend will be decent. TIA!

Inspired by the q of what firms are doing right, what are firms doing right for first year associates? Midsized firm, fall 2020 start class delayed to Jan 2021 but some started Nov 2020 to help the business group. Covid meant no "welcome to the firm" happy hour, but I think some got a wine gift box and some got nothing. New fall class just started so I hear the fall 2020/Jan 2021 class is feeling salty/forgotten. What have firms done for first years/ideas to make covid class feel welcome?

What's your favorite billing software and why? I'm ideally looking for something that can: *import a billing sheet rather than inputting each entry individually. Feedback I’ve received from clients and colleagues on my leadership and deliverables are “exceeding expectations” on all areas. The past year I’ve not had much interaction with the partners from my team, as I’ve been working with EYP quite a lot as no new projects started when I was available for staffing. I had my YE review last week and the YE feedback I got was “we don’t really know any of his work, he needs to engage more with our team”. Will this affect my compensation and bonus this year?

Weird random thoughts of the day. Do you think it’s possible to make 7 figures in the SAP world? This would prolly take in to account bonus’s structures things of that nature.

I feel like an idiot. For the past 3 years (26yo now) I have been electing the traditional 401k instead of Roth. I get 25% taken out pretax each paycheck. Given that I’m more likely to have a higher salary (currently 100k now) and therefore be in a higher tax bracket by the time I retire, shouldn’t I have elected Roth this entire time? 😩
