Scott has it nailed above…I might also inquire about a timeframe to make a decision. Shows them you understand how to set time gates with clients. I’d also recommend following up with a written thank you. Never hurts, sometimes helps.
Ask them if they thought there was anything you didn't say or could have said better. Asking this question in a final interview saved my CV from being put to the bottom of the pile once as I was able to correct a slight misconception the interviewer had about one of my responses.
I just had an L7 sdm interview with Google. Seemed to go very well except one of two system design interviews. The one went great and one went ok until they asked me to estimate the cpu/ram/server needed to handle the workload. I could give a great answer. We shall see. Google
