Welcome to the big leagues kid
Lol PwC offers that all the time
Kpmg does too. But 20 percent of my pay won't support anything.
PwC does it too, but taking a month at 20% less is like getting a 6.7% pay decrease. I'd love to take it, but frankly I'm not sure that's worth it...at some point it's easier to just become a busy season hire and skip the bullshit.
Haha! PwC sabbatical got me through REG and AUD!
offered the day of massive layoffs. nice planning, partners.
PwC 2... I took ten weeks off - used 6 to study audit (overstudied and got a 90) and took four weeks to study Reg (got an 83). I think you can do 3 in 12 weeks but would recommend hitting FAR first.
I took no time off, studied during work hours, finished exam in five months and got some client work done. Had a heavy busy season and slow summer though so it worked. You get more than a month of PTO so why take a month sabbatical? You can usually get up to two weeks off at a time approved during your slow season so do that. If I took a month off, I'd never come back.
What has your experience been?
These policies end up being a lot of PR, but impacting very few people. Who can actually live on only 20% of their pay?
I haven't taken one but if you can I afford it why not it's awesome
At 80% less *
Better than getting paid nothing
Yeah I'm trying to get three with a 2 month sabbatical. You think that's feasible PwC 4?
Does EY offer that too?
I want to go back to school for physical therapy. Clearly I have no prereqs for it being an accounting major so I am thinking about using it to take a semester and knock some out, come back for busy season and do another the next fall or summer. It lets me go back to school full time during the semester without completely eliminating my salary. Pretty sweet deal IMO
