Call them asap but expect not to see them until around week 10ish.
No. Normal trial. First time so not sure how soon I should find an obgyn.
Thank you!
Yayyy congratulations 🥳 I would say advocate for yourself, let them know you would like to do an HCG blood test to confirm the pregnancy. Then you can wait for the ultrasound.
Why should I not see them before 10 weeks?
They just may not book you for an appointment until then. It’s not you, it’s them, and they are ensuring it’s a viable pregnancy, they’ll have a better idea.

Call them as soon as you do. You might do bloodwork (even if you have already) and depending on your situation (eg age, health history, whether you’re transferring care from an RE, etc) you may have an ultrasound early on.
Is this pregnancy a result of IVF? I believe I graduated from RE’s office at 12 weeks.
They typically won’t want to see you before 8 weeks and even before 12 weeks but call now to make the appointment. The scheduler will tell you what makes sense based on your last period.
Mine made me come in between 6-7.5 weeks both pregnancies for dating purposes (tv ultrasound). Every practice is different. Second pregnancy I told them I wanted to come later (because the first ended in a MC weeks later) but they strongly encouraged before 8 weeks.

Congrats! Mine first saw me at 10 weeks, similar to what others will say. Then again at 12, 16, 20...
What I'll also prepare you for is the wait time to get in if you're not an established patient. Consider where you'll want to deliver / what hospitals the OBs are affiliated with.
My OB took 4 months to get into as a new patient. Know that if there's someone you want, get on the books with both and you can switch.
