I had an interview with a firm today and they asked about my billable hours and whether I met them. I said no, but that other associates in my very small group have the same issue, and that we all have around the same number of hours. As the hiring firm, would you be satisfied or concerned with this answer?
#Deloitte USI Requisition ID: E21 Function: Consulting Any idea on what position they are actually hiring for? Does E21 signify anything specific to the role/designation?
I got the verbal offer last week from the recruiter. We talked compensation and location, and said the letter would be ready after meeting with the HC. After reading some of the posts about the HC it makes me believe that the offer is not nearly as guaranteed as communicated. Is there anything I can do on my end now? Is HC difficult to get through/vary by position? I believe I head in there tomorrow.

Anyone here who works at Venable? In IP Department ideally. Looking for your thoughts about firm culture generally, work life-balance, how the atmosphere is for women, how the working relationships between staff and attorneys seems, how turnover is these days, etc. Am considering applying for a position there that would remote working and I think would be a job that does work for all of the offices that have IP groups (which may be all of them?)

I received an offer from KPMG recently and filled out the office transfer form. Got a call with the news and a “congrats” email from the recruiter. I saw that my status for the original advisory position that wasn’t location based changed to “not under consideration,” however. What does this mean? I’m pretty confused lol

4 years at Accenture were stressful, left to go to Deloitte for $22k salary bump and hope for better culture, then COVID layoff happened. If I try returning to Accenture, which is the best division to try returning to (with generic consulting skills) and why? Not looking for "division spirit/pride," looking for insight into which divisions have better pay/culture/WLB/etc. (constructive replies only please, I realize I sound like a 🤡)

Does anyone have any thoughts about a company terminating an employee within the HR team for testing positive for COVID 19 and further accusing the said employee of being the one that created the entire team to become infected by not answering the health screening questions accurately? The week prior to employee being tested the entire team was in the office sick. I am on my 3rd H1B company and joined recently. The current employer is someone whom I have worked for before. If I get a better offer in the upcoming months, I would take it. I am concerned that the current one wouldn’t give me a customized Employment Verification Letter. I would need to get it from a common company template. How important it is to have a customized EVL and signature of the manager?
