How to apply conditional formatting across tabs in excel sheet? In a drop down data validation I have A (Green) B (Blue) and C (Red). I selected the cells I want to apply, hit format painter and then selected the cells where I want to apply on next tab but not everything carries. Wondering if any tips on what I’m doing wrong

Record a macro while setting up the conditional formatting on your first worksheet (complete with the data validation that you documented). Next, re-run the macro as you display each of your other worksheets, in turn. The conditional formats are applied to the same cells on the other worksheets.

I feel like there has to be an easier way than using a macro, no?

I mean... record yourself doing the work in Sheet1, save the macro, and then run it on every other applicable worksheet. That's essentially automating the workflow of what you are trying to achieve.

Just figured it out. I used format painter and then played around with the manage rules.

Thank you for your help!

Also, I remember seeing a recruiter sometime ago whose model was to share part of their fee with the associate (sort of like a rebate real estate agent). I can't seem to find anyone like that on Google now, so I'm wondering if anyone has any leads on that.

Inflation costs are killing my pipeline. Many of my deals are scaling back greatly because of their rising operating costs.

How do we overcome the inflation objection? I mean obviously the answer is to show how much value we offer, but how do we do that when all of the companies we work with barely have enough funding?

They need our services, which is at least some job security, but their scale back is greatly affecting our projections and quota attainment.

I am running a macro that uses "Application.FileDialog(MsoFileDialogType.msoFileDialogFilePicker)" to select a single workbook file and then open the selected workbook.

Cell A1 on Sheet1 of the workbook that is running the macro contains sheet names that can be selected from a drop-down list. I want to be able to use the sheet name that is in cell A1 to select that sheet in the newly opened workbook.

It's probably something simple, but I can't seem to get it to work. Any ideas?

How do you make defined name ranges stay the same when the source is changed in power query? I’ve been really struggling.

I have a model with many defined name ranges in it that are referenced throughout. Each named range is set to be 250 rows long that way it works as long as the data set has less than 250 responses. However, when I switch the data source in PQ, it inexplicably shortens all my named ranges by around 4-6 rows (for example, one that was $B$3:$B$252 becomes $B$3:$B$246). Help?
