Colorblind claims will earn you the reputation of being DEI-ignorant at best & racist at worst. 2. Colorblindness within the context of workplace diversity is an obvious lie. You do NOT want to be painted as an intellectually dishonest leader. 3. Colorblind claims signal that you lack the leadership skills & vocabulary to have key conversations. Not in GPS, but I do get the emails from Dan Helfich and I just want to say he seems like a helluva leader. He comes across as authentic and genuinely invested in diversity and well being of his ppl.
On a call with the CEO talking about diversity and they compare a person with tattoos experiencing prejudice in the office to Black people colleague experiences... Meanwhile last I checked, a tattoo was a choice and removable. Also depending on placement, you can’t see it.

How would you make the business case for adding more diversity to the workforce. I think we take it as a given that people will support this, but some people need to see $$ and #s to be moved.
For any POC creatives, have you ever had to explain to a recruiter why you're considered a diversity candidate? This was the first time I felt like I had to prove my diversity/minority background.

Feeling like consulting isn’t the best career for me b/c of the lifestyle and I met someone who I hate being apart from every wk. But I always wanted to reduce gender gap, so I feel conflicted/guilty.

Does anyone else feel like management likes to make staff the butt of every joke? It’s pretty much locker room talk every time staff spend time with management (lunch, travel, etc).
Is it normal for a Partner to tell me “you know this will delay your promotion by 6 months” a day before my STD for mental health reasons? (P.S. He assumed I took the leave for mental health reasons although I never mentioned that to him). He also said “people like you leave and never come back so make sure you talk to your sponsors before making any decision, there are people who are excited to work with you”.. the conversation is on replay in my head

Firm is giving an extra bonus this year. After taxes theyll be just about the amount of interest on my law school loans (so much interest it’s disgusting). Do I immediately use all of it to pay off that interest, pay off one of the loans in full and put the rest toward interest, invest some, or other? I have about 190K total (loans are my only debt) and am of the group that’s fine paying off slower overtime for more cash flow now but w/ interest so high I’m thinking paying itwould put me ahead?!
S. Korea arbitrage opportunity? I am visiting in April wih my girlfriend who is a resident and has a bank account. Can she get setup on Korbit or another exhange, I buy BTC here, transfer to her, she sells for KRW and then we fund our vacation from the arbitrage profits?
