Set the alarm at 6 am and force yourself to wake up. After a week or two it will feel completely normal.

I was always a night owl. Always. Then I tried a simple trick: start sleeping early. It will be hard in the beginning. Use melatonin. Just going to bed early will leave you rested and fresh in the morning. You cant be a problem person if you are heading to bed late!

When I wanted to try out morning workouts, I booked a week of morning classes (those that would charge me if I didn’t turn up). The trick is to prep everything the night before and leave the house in the morning before your brain even has time to wake up

Go to sleep at 10pm and wake up at 5am. 7 hours in plenty.

like

Leave coffee next to your bed and chug it at soon as you wake up, or caffeine pills

I used this trick from a self help book and it really helped me. First 2 days just set up the alarm for 10 min before your actual waking time. Then following 2 days for 30 minutes before and so on gradually increase till you reach your goal. This way your body gets used to it. Also, the first thing you should do in morning is make up your bed. This will get a task done in morning and not make you ruin your effort and go back in again.

Do you mean waking up earlier or becoming a more pleasant person in the morning?

Bit of both, but more focus on former. Waking up earlier and being productive (gym, work, etc ) during that time

You’re made a certain way. It doesn’t matter

I feed my cats twice a day. Around 530-6, they would jump on to my bed and meow non stop until I get up to feed them. Then I am wide awake

There was a while that I was working long hours and feeling destroyed by the lack of sleep. Changing my mindset to “it’s okay to be tired, just go” was really helpful to me. I find it easier to get out of bed when I decide I want to get up early than when I get up at 7 bc when I get up early I’m making a choice that I’m going to be the most effective me that I can.

like

Working out did it for me. I signed up for an exercise class that charged me a fee if I cancelled and would sign up for 5:30am classes. You REALLY want to hit snooze, but that extra charge looking you in the face is all the motivation you need. Also, everything A1 said. Some days will suck. Just admit it yourself, realize you’re better than you think you are, and soldier on.

like

I found the sleep cycle smart alarms that try to wake you during a light sleep phase made a big difference

helpful

Try working out first thing in the morning once you get up earlier. Pushes your circadian rythms backwards to end earlier, if you do it for 7-10 days.

uplifting

For me what helped was saying to myself “you are going to be very tired, and that’s okay” I would get up really early, not drink coffee and just get shit done. That gave me a sense of accomplishment that made getting up early easier
