I've found taking Vitamin D supplements helps a lot and makes it more bearable.
@W+K someone has already shared this in an effort to stigmatize mental health issues, silly! I also think you forgot to read this bit: “A massive telephone survey of the US regarding depression is a valuable opportunity to track SAD in the population, but lack of evidence for SAD does not prove SAD isn’t real. ” Perhaps do your research before being an ass. Thanks!
I bought a SAD blue light lamp this year for ~$40 from amazon, and while it looks ridiculous, it actually has been helpful to use it for an hour or so each day! Also, visit sauna or steam rooms
Also, to what SM1 recommended... go a step further and also have your GP run bloodwork during your annual exam. I learned a couple years ago, when I went in February, that my vitamin d levels were so low that I needed 5x the recommended daily vitamin d dosage to even get myself to a healthy level, which was helpful to adjust my dosage to a point where it works
Thank you everyone! This is helpful :)

@OP yeah not sure what that article is, but I’m 100% sure from my own experience that SAD is real.
