So I have a $7500 bonus to receive this week and my boss messaged our tax person the following “let’s make the $7500 net of all taxes.”

Does that mean they will give me $7500 and will pay the taxes on it themselves? Or does it mean I will have to pay the taxes myself?
I’m very confused about the language.

Current role: Newly promoted big 4 manager - $140K base + 10% annual bonus (estimated based on previous performance)

Received offer for a senior mgr strategy role in tech.

$160K base + 20-30% annual bonus + 100K RSUs/ four years ~$225K TC.

Good offer or push higher base? Hesitant to jump for the small bump in base.

I am in the process of accepting a Research Coordinator position and was wondering what the salary would be or what I should request? I have been a Medical Assistant for over 15 years and have a total of 22 years in healthcare. In additional, I have a Master’s degree in Management that concentrates in Public Administration. Could someone kindly give me an idea so I know I get the salary I deserve?, this job is based in NYC.

I see posts about how tough BL is. Then others about how we should be more resilient and appreciate the high comp. At the risk of being captain obvious—it’s about the people you work with. They make or break how “brutal” your BL experience is. We should agree that BL is a sample of the population with very few good people. But they still exist, and I encourage anyone who is feeling burned out and at their lowest to start responding to recruiters and seek out different, hopefully better, people.
